Maybe you just need a different *type* of med. Baclofen rather than Flexeril, for example. I think you're wise to do what you're doing for now, and see what happens. You can always add the other again, and if horrors occur, you'll know.

My doctor has me on 600 mg of gemfibozil once a day before meals and simistation 40 mgs once a day. I have high cholestrol and very high trycliderides. You need to consult a doctor about your withdrawal from the Xanax. The new doctor should have reviewed your record and should have prescribed a substitute to what you were taking knowing this could be an Issue.

I went to a pain management clinic for over 15 years but I cannot find a new clinic that will accept me because I take Xanax AND I CANNOT COME OFF THEM I have tried several times.
