Avatar f tn Ortho sent me for Mri..Conclusion was left and right hip bursitis..swollen bladder and enchondrama growth of 1inch in left femur/hip area..While waiting the week for the Dr. to call me back to tell me what the plan was..I stopped taking my Thyroid meds..I am on day 7 now, and the pain is mostly gone in both hips, still somewhat pinchy in the left hip.
Avatar f tn I have had fibromyalgia for 15 years and hip bursitis for 5 years. the more research I do the more I see how related they are. I am to the point after various therapies to consider using a walker at 55 years old. It is difficult for me to walk and to climb stairs. I use to be very active. Is there any research indicating why these two are so synonymous?

Avatar n tn I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia by some doctors and Arthritis by other doctors. I have the symptoms of arthritis, swollen fingers, neck & back pain, hip pain etc....in other words...what doesn't hurt? I'm not into taking a lot of drugs. As of now I take Advil, seems to work the best. My body just aches all over, some days are worse than others. Any advice on natural cures?
Avatar m tn I was up all night last night with knee, hip, ankle, shoulder and even neck pain. I was tossing and turning in pain even after taking the Requip and an over the counter sleep aid. Even before the leg problem started, I had really bad insomnia. I was diagnosed with depression, anxiety, ADD etc. The only one I believe I have is ADD and the medicine I am on really helps me. I have a lot of abdominal pain. I have had ovarian cysts and kidney stones in the past.
Avatar f tn Hip arthrogram with contrast under MRI, lower lumbar MRI and a blood test that analyses for everything (most importantly rheumatoid factor and ankylosing spondylitis) are worthwhile initial steps. Common hip issues are labral tears, bursitis and arthritis these will all be seen in the arthrogram - if something is seen next step is cortisone injection into the joint capsule (guided under film) to confirm that it is actually the source of pain.
Avatar f tn For the past two years, I have suffered from fevers of unknown origin (low grade - usually around 99.9, 100.1, etc. but have gone up to 102 on occasion) and multiple sites of bursitis/tendonitis. I woke up with all of these symptoms one day after recovering from a nasty two week "flu".
152264 tn?1280358257 I have definately been in your boat, I actually have Still's disease, its a rare arthritis, but I was first dx'd w/fibromyalgia and after many months of doing what my rheumy said and still not feeling better, I had daily fevers, and horrible wish I was dead kind of pain and weird rashes that would come with the fevers. I kept going and pushing for answers.
Avatar n tn I suspect I have some sort of inflammatory condition or disease, and wondered if perhaps someone might read my story and recognise anything and advise me accordingly. I wonder if I have Sjogrens, Fibro or Polymyalgia. About a month ago, completely out of the blue I woke up with incredibly stiff and moderately painful shoulders and upper arms.
Avatar n tn Have ulcers, carpal tunnel, fibromyalgia, bursitis, tendenitis, and bone spurs on spine. Also had Hep A and B in the past. I am always in pain and can't get through the day without pain med. I am worried about Hep C and liver cancer. 20 years ago, liver biopsy showed scarring. Doctor told me if I drank I would be dead in five years. I haven't drank or did drugs in over 25 years. I would like to know if anyone else has problems like mine with Hep C.
439629 tn?1213939866 d/x began at age 20 with depression and fibromyalgia and have continued as I've gotten worse, better, or developed different sypmtoms. Although the diagnosis are believable and provable (is that a word?), I hold out for an explanation that ties all these problems together or explains a common origin. I am convinced that my health problems are connected and not random. How can I figure this out?
Avatar f tn Since always I have bursitis and tendinitis besides the fibromyalgia. The rheumatologist that is treating me for Fibromyalgia said that is common and normal people having bursistis and tendinitis in addition to fibromyalgia. But I don't get it. I don't understand why. Since I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, I've already had bilateral trochanter's bursistis, bilateral sholder's bursitis, hips' and feet's tendinitis.
Avatar f tn - Bilateral Trochanteric bursitis and ITB syndrome - Baker's cysts/bursitis behind both knees - Bilateral Gluteal bursitis/tendonitis (not sure if that's correct term - ischeal bursitis?) - Pain accompanied by minor redness and swelling at all sites that comes and goes - Fever has accompanied symptoms for 2 years now; fever ranges from 99.
Avatar f tn I am 39 year old female and I was diagnosed with iliopsoas bursitis in left hip after 4 months of testing for other dieseases. I finally asked for a MRI and it picked it up. They told me they had to stimulate my nerves in the MRI and it felt like I was being cooked from the inside out. A week later I had shingles. I’ve been in that misery for over two months now with some lasting PHN, malaise and low grade fever.

975514 tn?1325001538 In addition to the community here, MedHelp also offers tools to help you and your doctor in your road to wellness. Fibromyalgia and CFS can be so intricate and can have so many different symptoms. Due to this, it is very helpful that MedHelp offers health trackers for us to utilize. We can track our progress and especially our flare ups. Below are just a few trackers that I find useful. • CFS/FMS Tracker - http://www.medhelp.org/land/health-trackers • Pain Tracker - http://www.medhelp.
Avatar n tn I went to a rheumotologist who sent me home with a diagnosis of fibromyalgia. I was very angry and the pain increased and I became more and more ill, even suddenly vomiting in the middle of the night. This would come on without warning or nausea. The pain was not in my shoulder, just my biceps/deltoid area, and in my groin area also. This was all limited to the left side of my body. It took 3 doctors till I got one willing to do ultrasound and treat with cortisone shots and ot.

1001981 tn?1293982081 Different times in my life I have had trouble with Fibro but it usually affect my upper parts not the legs and and walking difficulities. Maybe they all fall into the catch all, one plays off another. All I know is that I had very few pains to speak of in the past 5 years and could walk a 16 min mile and floor exercise fairly well. I was given Lyrica to try but kind oif reluctant to take too many drugs.
Avatar f tn It's not just the type of pain like muscle pain of fibromyalgia where I can pop a pill and sleep; it's the kind that hinders me at work and wtih my kids, doing daily tasks with my hands and back (I apparently pull things easily) and that keeps me up at night!! I also have a finger that is weird looking (don't know if you call it trigger finger or what). It will not flatten; it is my ring finger on the left, my dominant hand.
Avatar f tn Diagnosed Hypoglycemic at 12 Diagnosed Lupus and Fibromyalgia at 23. Currently in remission. Degenerative joint disease in both knees, hip bursitis, tmj Currently on a non-processed food die and exercise daily. This seems to have made a significant impact of my joint pain, fatigue, and general SLE/FMS/Hashimoto's symptoms.
Avatar f tn If the injection was given too high in the shoulder region, it is possible that the subdeltoid bursa can become injured and inflamed. Typical symptoms of subdeltoid bursitis include discomfort that would be worse with arm activities over your head and with the arm from your side (above 90 degrees) An improper injection into the subdeltoid bursa can result in an inflammatory response (inflammation of the subdeltoid bursa = bursitis). ~•~ Dr.

714288 tn?1243257791 I am having terrible pain with Fibromyalgia that goes along with hep c for some. And also mild depression on the scare of a disease that could kill me after the drug use did not!
Avatar f tn This has been going on for quite some time and I am hoping that someone can help me. It first started with a mild aching pain in my hips. It would be worse after working on my feet all day but wasn't unbearable or even really something I would complain about. It slowly got worse over the course of several months until I noticed that they always hurt to some degree, even when lying in bed. I could no longer lie on my side because it hurt so badly.
