Avatar f tn Currently I have a swollen temporal artery which the neurologist tells me is Fibromyalgia (diagnosed 10 years ago), i have nystagmus, constant eye pain first in the left eye and now in the right also. I can't go into any kind of light without pain in my eyes, but bright light makes me fall to my knees in agony and my head feels like it's exploding.. I have snowy vision (quite bad) and if i look at anything white or light colored it fills in with snow vision and becomes grey.
Avatar m tn Well, joint pains with rash or bruise can be seen in SLE, psoriatic arthritis, fibromyalgia, polymayalgia rheumatica and chronic fatigue syndrome. Gout, though typically affects the great toe, can cause multiple joint pain with rash. Hashimotos Thyroiditis is another possibility. Hayfever and rheumatoid arthritis too should also be ruled out.
Avatar f tn Which I think is rather young for temporal arteritis and/or polymyalgia rheumatica. I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, but we (the drs and I) feel that these other symptoms are unrelated. The only reason I mention the health issues, is because I feel very strongly that the eye problem is related in some way. Also, I last had a full eye exam in June, and there wasn't much of a change in my prescription at that time. Should I ask for an MRI or CT scan at this point?

Avatar n tn s a lot o info there, or google fibromyalgia symptoms. My hair also hurts, more like my scalp. I feel that things are growing out of my head at times, drives me crazy. There are so many different symptoms for fibro, and then of course the symptoms overlap with other diseases, it throws me off a lot. Have you seen a nuero doctor? It might help. I hope I was able to help you some.

Avatar f tn Other conditions which mimic small nerve fiber neuropathy are multiple sclerosis or myelopathy, Regional Pain Syndrome (RSD), Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, polymyalgia rheumatica, Erythromelalgia, fibromyalgia, Raynaud syndrome, restless leg syndrome, fasciitis, neuroma, or anxiety or depression induced somatic pains. Hashimotos Thyroiditis is another possibility and so is Crohn’s disease. You need certain tests to rule out these possibilities. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Take care! Avatar f tn All that keeps coming up is scleroderma, but I dont feel my symptoms fit this... I do feel they fit with sle, fibromyalgia, and even ms, but what about the antihistones? One other possible clue is my BUN/Creatinine ratio is slightly out of range (22.2) I do have Hashimotos/hypothyroidism (controlled) but a laundry list of symptoms that go way beyond this...
Avatar f tn I feel like a limp dish rag. I have trigeminal neuralgia, polymyalgia rheumatica, and fibromyalgia, but my doctors say it is not caused by any of them or the medications I am taking? Has anyone else experienced the same thing? What was your diagnosis? How did you treat it?
Avatar f tn Hello, Candida may involve the oral cavity (thrush), the pharynx or esophagus, the gastrointestinal tract, the urinary bladder, or the genitalia. The best tests involved in the diagnosis of candida are scrapping or swab examination of the scrapings after KOH mounting. The other test that can be done is fungal culture of the scrapings from the tongue of the vaginal swabs.
