405824 tn?1201817954 I had all the typical symptoms of menopause even though mine was surgical menopause. My ongoing problem is severe mood swings. About 5 years ago I found myself actually hysterical and didn't know what to do. I was to the point where I almost admitted myself to an Emergency Room for some kind of help. I asked my pulmonary doctor for something and he gave me something (I don't remember what) with the stipulation I see someone. I did.
Avatar f tn He has increased the dosage since and where the hot flashes are subsiding, the mood swings are now way out of control. Watching a commercial can literally send me into a complete crying tail spin. I have tried over the counter hormone creams, vitamins such as black cohash and all kinds of other things that "older" ladies have recommended and nothing seems to be working. I am not depressed or anything like that so i do not need those type medications.

Avatar f tn I am a 24/7 pain patient. Before and after my period I have extreme mood swings. Extreme doesn’t even explain what I go through. Has anyone ever had a hysterectomy to stop the mood swings?
Avatar n tn Hi, I am 17, I am on Depo Provera and am having side effects such as constant bleeding (1 month and half) and the common mood changes. I was told that if I take estrogen I can minimize the bleeding or even stop it...However I was informed by a nurse that due to breast cancer running in my family if I starting to take an estrogen pill so early it can potentially make my risk of breast cancer even higher for the future.

Avatar n tn I also have low thyroid so take meds for that as well. There are different methods of delivery for the estrogen and testosterone: pills, creams, gels, patches and pellets. I get the pellets. They are implanted under the skin on my hip about every 3-5 months. I also recommend seeing a doctor that specializes in bioidentical hormones and menopause. Good luck!
Avatar m tn After a year of being in remission, I too had such a tough time with hot flashes and mood swings, so I took estadil and soon my marker went up, Come to find out my cancer was not tested for estrogen sensitivity. So please make sure.

Avatar f tn Why do pregnant women have mood swings ??????

1437126 tn?1284099058 Thanks for your response. I'm not taking any pills now for almost a year. of course I do have estrogen dominance, mood swings, nausea and vaginal dryness as well. I also have mid cycle period on the 14th day with dark blood. I was confused whether it's a good sign or a bad sign. Is it a ruptured cyst?
Avatar f tn I loved Femara (I've used it all ;)) I had no side effects on Femara, felt like it was a very 'natural' cycle...no increased mood swings, no intense ovulation pain, etc. I ended up getting pregnant on a natural cycle, but still credit Femara with 'jump-starting' my body ;) The only thing that was a bit unique for me, from what I've read on posts, is that I took ALL my Femara pills on CD3.
Avatar f tn With menopause some experience hot flashes, chills, night sweats, vaginal dryness, sleep problems, mood swings and many other unwanted symptoms. These menopausal symptoms can also be the result of chemotherapy, ovarian ablation, and hormone therapy. Women can get relief from these symptoms by opting for Hormone Replacement Therapy for Women. It helps in balancing the estrogen and progesterone levels.
Avatar f tn Lately I have been experiencing anxiety, some insomnia, happy/sad mood swings. I feel like packing my bags and running away. I pray to be nice and not let me say something mean especially towards my mom.I had a full hysterectomy in 2005 but was never prescribed any hormone pills. The doc said I didn't need any. I woke up this morning wanting to cry for no reason. Yesterday I spoke to my daughter about maybe needing a chill pill. Im tired of feeling like this.
Avatar f tn He even takes an estrogen pill to prevent highs. But he is battling mood swings still and is constantly upset he is not getting enough sex, which is average or better than average. There is weekly or biweekly intense arguing. It is ruining our marriage. He was told to exercise to help the swings and he says he does at work but I don’t know for sure. Has anyone else experienced this.
3944505 tn?1348709677 Not being noisy but how old are you? Because it sounds like it can be the change of life. I had a complex cyst on my ovary removed in March just a few months ago & I know about hot flashes they are constant I have an appointment today to do a follow up for estrogen shots because I am going the change & I am 38 yrs.
1219499 tn?1410749730 I was also ovulating but she wanted to put me on Clomid for other reasons. I am also taking Estrogen in the pill form and she also wants to put me on Progesterone suppositories. I might just pass on the suppositories and instead do the weekly Progesterone shot when I get my BFP. My first cycle I had all the side effects - headaches (all day, every day), hot flashes, mood swings, and dry CM. This month my body must have been prepared and I havent had any side effects.
Avatar f tn My life has taken a turn for the worse after breastfeeding. Hormonal fluctuations gave me terrible migraines and weakness and i was getting all sorts of symptoms from low estrogen. I had it pre pregnancy all my life but it's exponentially worse now. With the suggestion of my previous endo i tried birth control pills. 1. Microgynon 20: fixed migraines but have me daily headaches, joint pain, dryness, and terrible mood swings and back pain (I'm still going to physio.
Avatar f tn I have had endometriosis for years and it's been fairly easily controlled (after lapro surgery several years ago) by non stop low dose birth control pills. Now that I'm in my mid 40's, I'm having a few subtle symptoms of it again but I'm mostly noticing wild mood swings, depressions, weight gain that no matter how much I work out and eat right seems to help, more cramps, etc. I was wondering if the estrogen in my b.c.
Avatar f tn Studies show that ovary removal or post-hysterectomy ovarian failure increases risk for many health problems including heart disease (the #1 killer of women), osteoporosis, hip fracture, cognitive and memory impairment, dementia, Parkinsonism, mood disorders (depression, mood swings, anxiety, irritability), vision and skin changes, poor sleep quality, urogenital atrophy, sexual dysfunction, more severe hot flushes (I think that's all of them!).
Avatar f tn m not the only one.
