I recently had blood work and my WBC was slightly elevated at 11, RBC, Hemoglobin, and Hematocrit were slightly low and my lymphocytes were above 5000, (high normal is 3900). I have been in acute pain, (legs and arms), and have been suffering with extreme fatigue for about 3 months now. Is there a relationship between an MS flare and a high Lymphocyte count? Has any one else had a similar situation?
I have had a chronic pattern of elevated wbc and neutrophils for 5 months now but only slightly elevated over those 5 months, however symptoms have increased and having extreme lethargy, night sweats and now daytime sweats and weakness. Most recent labs now show higher WBC 21 (range 4.5-11)and neutrophils 78 range (42-75) and low lymphocytes 13 (range 20-51). My doctor has me on 10mg of prednisone but he doesn’t feel the prednisone would increase my labs that much. Please help.

can my lymphocytes be 28 if range is 20 - 40 after 2 months after exposure of unprotected sex and still have hiv ?

I know that this kind off test dos not detect hiv infection, but as well as I know during primary hiv t cells of the lymphocytes decrease from 1200 cells/mm3 to 500 mm/3 and never increase to baseline as before. I had a cbc with differential , it was a manual count, and i took this results:
8800 wbc
32% are lymphocytes that means 2816 of wbc are lymphocytes.
the doctor said to me that when i have a high t lymphocytes after 7 weeks of possible exposure then it is a good indication that i dont have hiv
moreover as per my researshed i have noticed that viruse and bacteria can show an increase in t lymphocytes to fight the illness and hiv is a virus so what is the truth regarding this

1- Elisa 21 days after exposure =neg 2- Compo test (duo) 35 days = neg 3- Elisa 62 days = neg 4- Elisa 81 days = neg 5- Duo test 100 days (with my wife) she did the test too for blood cbc including HIV = neg 6- Elisa 120 days (4 months) =neg 7- Elisa 180 days (6 months)= neg.What makes me so stressed and nervous is my is my cbc.
CBC labs have showed high lymphocytes for the past 4 years, but most recent CBC showed high lymphocytes, as well as high neutrophils, high platelet count, AND elevated monocytes. Frequent infections like pneumonia (3x) and shingles 2x in 11 months. Extremely debilitating fatigue, tightness and pain in chest, worsening weakness in arms/hands/legs/feet, frequent kidney stones, and tachycardia.
I take 125 mcg of Synthroid and 5mcg of Cytomel (2X/day). I have a physical every year for work and my lymphocytes have been gradually increasing for the last 3 years; they are above normal but the docs don't seem overly concerned. My overall WBC was also high this year. I've had several different tests including ultrasound and CT and a cause hasn't been found yet, although something in my gut is suspected. My thyroid is consistently off.
Atypical lymphocytes are non malignant white blood cells. Atypical lymphocytosis develops when these lymphocytes react to an antigen. An antigen is a foreign protein found on pollen, pet dander, bacteria, viruses, fungi and donor tissue including blood. There a lot of infections, medications and auto-immune disorders that trigger atypical lymphocytes. You should ask your doctor to explain the significance of it to you. Were your other results in the normal range?
2) What happens during ARS? Does the white cell count go down and lymphocytes up ie does white cell count be below normal and the lymphocytes rise.
3) I know handjobs are no risk but what about saliva with blood? Is the risk virtually non-existent? Is there anyone that came to you claiming they got infected this way?
I would appreicate any understanding on this whilst I wait for my HIV test results. I am about 4.5 weeks post potential exposure.
My doc didn't really go into the details of my procedure, but she took 42 biopsies and I called the hospital for my results. All I was told was that I had Celiacs. I just would like to know what a few things on this report mean.
I will not put down everything thats normal, just the things I'm curious about. :-)

I went in to see the doc with a bronchial infection yesterday and they ran a CBC and my lymphocytes are at .1, below that magic number where my ANC won't save me. I had my "official" CBC today and I guess I'll see if they managed to bounce up between yesterday and today. I just want to be ready for the neupogen conversation if needed and what I'm getting into. not unusal it is usually a false positive... however, her lymphocytes are quite elevated and she was diagnosed with partial Horners syndrome.. BEFORE her thyroid surgery so the neurologist thought it odd that they did not find any inflammation or tumour in her chest as that is usually the root cause of Horners...
Sooooo... with elevated lymphocytes and large uptake of RAI in they thymus almost a month after treatment.. should I be pushing for further investigation?
hi, I am male 28, from last few months my wbc count come high lymphocytes between 50 to 60% and low neutrophils 35 %. i test every month and every time high lymphocytes and low neutrophils comes. and my symptoms are sore throat, Skin rash & and something joints pain. what do you think my cuses? because my doctor ignore this test why i don't know.

Neutrophils are at 15%. Is this a normal pattern with CLL where the WBC are stable, but the Lymphocytes and Neutrophils are not, along with the platelets? I had a recent neck MRI which showed the bone marrow as somewhat heterogenous, which I was told was related to the CLL. I only have a small pea size lymph node in my neck, but other than bruising easily and fatigue (for which I take Modafinil due to fighting sleep all day), I'm in good shape.
i have heard pharyngiyes is one of tje most common symptom of acute hiv..and my last ques about high lymphocytes and low neutrophils..u must agrer that lymphocytes are high and neutrophils are low if a person has acute viral infection..and one of the docs in this forum told that during ars persons lymphocytes increases..is this true?
I have been on the Pegasys shot and Copegus pills since May 11th, with one shot a week on Saturdays and 5 pills a day (2 in the morning & 3 in the evening) but he has halted my treatment until I get on the Neuopogen and the Procrit. The Roche company helps me pay for the Pegasys and the Copegus but I can't afford either the Neuopogen and the Procrit. My doctor said that I will be on both of these new meds as long as I am on the interferon treatment.
