Common Questions and Answers about Estrogen in water bottles

Avatar f tn I am not a total expert, but I have recently learned that my habit of eating lots of soy products (soy milk, soy meat, etc) mimics estrogen in the body. I also found out that certain chemicals in soft plastic water bottles (which I had drank out of every day for a year at work) 'leak' into the water and also 'mimic' estrogen. Even stress hormones can lead to further imbalances.
Avatar f tn Lol yeah i drink about 4 bottles of 20 oz bottles an got probably about twice an hour sometimes more depending on whether im sitting down or up walking around.
Avatar f tn I drink about 3 bottles of water a day! The 16.9 fl oz ones!

5739095 tn?1374690666 My midwife told me to take your body weight and divide it in half and that's how many ounces you should drink. So I weight 170 so half that would be 85 so 85 ounces for me and that and about 6 bottles but I definitely drink more than that.
Avatar f tn One of the things that contributes to a high estrogen load is drinking soda out of plastic bottles. All those two liter (and smaller) bottles of soft drinks could be another bad guy to us. The more I find, the more it confirms my suspicion that the modern lifestyle has several pitfalls adversely affecting women's health.
9602111 tn?1443721049 Im used to drinking 6-7 bottles of water a day so ive always been used to drnking a lot if water but since im pregnant im not kidding you when I say If I dont drink water every 20-30 minutes my body will shut down like im completely dehydrated..
Avatar f tn I drink as much as I can tolerate because I eat fresh fruits such as oranges and I flavor water to eat with my foods as well. I think a minimum of 4 bottles is sufficient..... but it also depends on your daily activities. When I am more active and outdoor, I will naturally drink more than if I was home lounging.
Avatar f tn I just found out I'm 7 weeks pregnant with twins! My doctor told me he wants me drinking 12 bottles of water a day. I know it's in my head but after the 1st few bottles I start to gag and want to throw up. Do any of you know if adding flavor to the water is ok and if so what kind would you recommend?
Avatar f tn hi ladies. hope you're pregnancies are going well. does anybody else have trouble drinking water? I'm having a lot of troble with my water intake. I can't drink more than 3 bottles. I'm freaking out because I know I need to drink water. but I can't. today I started to add Mio liquid just a little bit to see if the flavor will help me drink more. any of you ladies with the same issue?
Avatar f tn I drink four to five 16oz bottles of water a day. Try getting those Mio things to flavor your water so its easier to drink : ) I just happen to love water so its easy for to me drink, but I don't over do it either. I try to drink a bottle as soon as I get up. Its actually a good "get going" thing. That way have all day to get the other water intake.
Avatar f tn What helped me drink extra water was actually logging how many oz I drink in a day. I found an app called "water log" to keep tabs on how much. I do that plus I have a cup where on the sides tells me how much water I drink. I've gone from drinking about 30-40 oz all the way up to over 100 oz. It has all so helped my colostrum come in.
Avatar f tn I'm not a water drinker either so I buy those water enhancers without the artificial sweetner and I'm able to drink water with a little flavor.
9536744 tn?1414122031 I have been putting water bottles in the freezer and drinking it like that it helps but its still almost like im forcing myself to do it.
Avatar f tn I was told in my childbirth class not to give a newborn water because it will get all the water it needs from breastmilk/formula
8650265 tn?1421565413 Poweraid and Gatorade in between a few bottles is okay too. I squeeze in a dew a day so i keep the caffeine headaches away but i strongly urge all expecting mommas to drink plenty of water, your baby depends on it. I have my first appointment tomorrow morning so i will get to find out how far along i am for sure and hopefully everything is good when the tests come back. :-) just wanted to get this out there.. wish me luck!!
Avatar f tn As much as you can hold lol. I lived on smart water pregnant with my daughter. It has added electrolytes so it really helps hydrate you. I used to go through two or three liters of it a day! That's roughly 68-102 oz. And that's not including any juice or milk I drank.
Avatar f tn With a bottle brush. Or put a big pot of water on the stove until warm the put the bottles in with soap let stand for about two min brush and rinse.
Avatar f tn And, I keep a jar of minced ginger in the fridge...I put a teaspoon of ginger in my water sometimes for something different. This is making me thirsty!
Avatar f tn 5-8 16oz water bottles a day. I have a water dispenser & refill it. I live in AZ though so dehydration is a real concern.
Avatar f tn Estrogen-injected cattle, birth control pill residue in our rivers and lakes, rare side effects of steroid treatments, pseudo-estrogen from soy products, pseudo-estrogen from BPA in baby bottles and cans - nothing will ever be proven but there sure is a hormonal mess out there...
Avatar f tn Yes lol its all I've had my entire pregnancy
Avatar f tn I drink bottled water..so I have between 31/2 to four bottles of water a day...but I heard from the er doctor that even that wasn't enough since I was in for dehydration......its really hard for me to drink more than what I am now because I feel sick and my stomach gets really tight and full to where it hurts..........any advice?
Avatar f tn I cant drink a lot of water either. I feel like I'm drowning. I use crystal light packs for water bottles. The flavor helps me get more down.
