Biggest problem i have is missing work for the blood work...at work i havnt told anybody the details....but they do ask if i have AIDS...lol...im not goin to tell them unless i absoluty have too....i just say i have a health condition that i have to attend too and its personal....tough luck i say....

The only thing is that they can let me go at anytime because I live in Califotnia and I am a temporary employee.

I work in a daycare and dont have any heavy lifting to do but my boss has a pregnant daughter and another pregnant employee, she needs me to be on top of my game for the months of feb. March april and may a little this was a huge suprise for us (not planned) how or when should I tell my boss? im only 4 weeks along so far. Any suggestons?

I recently got in some trouble at work for attendence. we are only allowed to miss 5 days in a year and i find that absolutly rediculous but there are alot of people who rarely miss work. I missed more than my 5 days and all were lagit reasons i never have called in so that i can go out or whatever only when i am sick but we are a "no fault" organization and it doesnt matter what the reason is.

There are 4 other people that could be covering this lunch hour besides me am I wrong to ask that I not be put at the front desk and for the reason of hand tremors? I love my job and the people I work with but this has completely stressed me out, which makes everything worse Is there anybody that knows what employees rights are? When I was at my neuro last year I had mentioned the tremors and work and told him I was changing positions which he thought was a very good idea.

This is not normal. You should work at finding a doctor who will help you find an effective treatment for you cough. There could be many possible causes, and several maybe affecting you. You should be checked for allergies, possibly including allergy SKIN testing and allergy shots considered. You should also be evaluated for GERD as it can cause chronic cough. Sinus infection has probably been ruled out, but what about non-allergic rhinitis?

In the work papers you signed, did it state anything about their terms of termination? I know at my work it says they can terminate anyone for anyreason without prior notice and we all have to sign that paper....but i'm not a government contracter either lol. i'm in computer forensics, but, I know that in most states there are laws on disabilities and work. If they let you go would u get like a severance package?

I work at Wendy's and I tend to eat alot of the food there like many of my Co workers but I also tend to very eat alot just because the food is all around me does anyone helpful tips to beat not only over eating but also to stop eating fast food.when it is at your disposal?

Don't stop eating an empty stomach makes things worse. Ive been taking snacks to work & just graze all day long. Things like cheese & crackers, salt & vinegar crisps, fruit, peanut sandwiches I just eat all day long & end up really sick at night but it gets me through work & home where I can deal with it.....

I have an employee who has cold sores frequently. I have another employee that shares work surfaces and other office equipment with this employee (copy machines, staplers, fax machines, etc). Should we be sanitizing these work surfaces regularly? The employee is concerned and frankly I don't know what to tell her!

I try to make all of my appointments early in the day or as late as possible so I miss very little work. My doctor suggested I try to cut and hour or two off of my work day so that I'm not quite as tired. There is no way I'm going to ask for that!! Are doctors able, for health/medical reasons, to give an official prescription that requires an employee work less overtime if it is believed that overtime conditions would negatively impact a patient's condition?

I don't think it could be a lawsuit but maybe workers comp. They don't sound like they were negligent. They can't go ahead of you with a mop at all times, right? And you are an employee. So, I'd not think in terms of law suit. And convincing a jury to give you money for that would be difficult. But if you are injured and cant work, workers comp may help. That comes into play when an employee gets hurt on the job.

Fmla will.cover anything like that. I was having issues at 7 months and had to be cut down on hrs and I work at a factory. Even though I'm in Ohio which is also an at will state, the fmla is the same. If they have a prob I'm sure there is a disability youcould resort to, which is what I ended up having to do when I was put.on bed rest.

Can you ask this person if he / she is allowed to have a meal break while in an earlier shift if it will work. A person with diabetes can need certain considerations. Such as being allowed to test blood sugar during work, being allowed to take a snack during work.

No where an fire you because you're pregnant; that's illegal. I was also petite too and didn't start showing until about 24 weeks and in my work uniform you couldn't even tell at 32 weeks.

Also.....I'm a fulltime employee who has only worked at my company for 8 months by the time I deliver. I worked it out with my boss and saved to take time. You have to do what you have to do hun...so make sure you don't lose your job and just work out with your boss what he thinks is reasonable too.

A place CANNOT not hire you because you are pregnant. It is against the law, though, you may feel differently about actually starting a job at this point in your pregnancy due to the fact that about the time you get all your training or whatever out of the way you will be ready to go on your maternity leave. Go for it girl and don't let anyone discourage you from doing what you want to do...or NEED TO DO!

I work at a pharmaceutical company that's producing live virus vaccines. The company came up with a list of medicines that people cannot take and work with live virus. All MS therapies are on this list and basically all drugs that treat an autoimmune condition or drugs that are steroids. They consider all these drugs to be immunosuppressive and a risk for the employee to work in that specific area.
