648720 tn?1227637088 I recently got in some trouble at work for attendence. we are only allowed to miss 5 days in a year and i find that absolutly rediculous but there are alot of people who rarely miss work. I missed more than my 5 days and all were lagit reasons i never have called in so that i can go out or whatever only when i am sick but we are a "no fault" organization and it doesnt matter what the reason is.

I love my job and the people I work with but this has completely stressed me out, which makes everything worse Is there anybody that knows what employees rights are? When I was at my neuro last year I had mentioned the tremors and work and told him I was changing positions which he thought was a very good idea.

A month before I get pregnant my boss ask me if I was pregnant and obviously i replied no because I wasnt and I have a baby of one year old, a month later I was pregnant now am 15wks and showing and they are all steering at me.

There could be many possible causes, and several maybe affecting you. You should be checked for allergies, possibly including allergy SKIN testing and allergy shots considered. You should also be evaluated for GERD as it can cause chronic cough. Sinus infection has probably been ruled out, but what about non-allergic rhinitis?

I know at my work it says they can terminate anyone for anyreason without prior notice and we all have to sign that paper....but i'm not a government contracter either lol. i'm in computer forensics, but, I know that in most states there are laws on disabilities and work. If they let you go would u get like a severance package?

Things like cheese & crackers, salt & vinegar crisps, fruit, peanut sandwiches I just eat all day long & end up really sick at night but it gets me through work & home where I can deal with it.....

Avatar f tn I try to make all of my appointments early in the day or as late as possible so I miss very little work. My doctor suggested I try to cut and hour or two off of my work day so that I'm not quite as tired. There is no way I'm going to ask for that!! At this point we need my salary and I know that would not go over well! Good luck!!

Avatar f tn I don't think it could be a lawsuit but maybe workers comp. They don't sound like they were negligent. They can't go ahead of you with a mop at all times, right? And you are an employee. So, I'd not think in terms of law suit. And convincing a jury to give you money for that would be difficult. But if you are injured and cant work, workers comp may help. That comes into play when an employee gets hurt on the job.

Even though I'm in Ohio which is also an at will state, the fmla is the same. If they have a prob I'm sure there is a disability youcould resort to, which is what I ended up having to do when I was put.on bed rest.

Can you ask this person if he / she is allowed to have a meal break while in an earlier shift if it will work. A person with diabetes can need certain considerations. Such as being allowed to test blood sugar during work, being allowed to take a snack during work.

Avatar f tn Also.....I'm a fulltime employee who has only worked at my company for 8 months by the time I deliver. I worked it out with my boss and saved to take time. You have to do what you have to do hun...so make sure you don't lose your job and just work out with your boss what he thinks is reasonable too.

It is against the law, though, you may feel differently about actually starting a job at this point in your pregnancy due to the fact that about the time you get all your training or whatever out of the way you will be ready to go on your maternity leave. Go for it girl and don't let anyone discourage you from doing what you want to do...or NEED TO DO!

All MS therapies are on this list and basically all drugs that treat an autoimmune condition or drugs that are steroids.
