hello, i had protected sex with an hiv positive girl (i just discovered), i had sex with her twice, but she gave me several oral sex, i saw some blood on my penis in one of them, from her mouth i think.. i have no symptoms untill now, i did Elisa test 52 days after 1st time and 20 days after last time and today it´s been 2 months since 1st time (the day i saw the blood) and 1 month after our last time.
Jose is talking about elisa 3th gen.test ..he always give same answers to Elisa.8 weeks and re-test 12 weeks i know.
but for 4th generation tests he says 28 days is conclusive.

my doctor is said to me to give pcr-rt (quantitative) test? what is pcr? I am very worried.
The doctor told me that my ELISA test was positive and so they sent my blood sample for an Antigen Western Blot test which came back negative. The doctor told me that 99,999% the Elisa test was false because of other factors that might affect the blood but he asked me to retest in one week.
Is it possible that I have contacted Hiv?
If so, how?
I used a condom and it didn't break. I also cannot have Hiv from previus relationships because I tested Hiv negative 9 months ago.

About a week or so ago I needed to get a medical check for work. When I got my results back, I was shocked to be told that the Elisa test came back as HIV reactive at 1.52. They tested it twice. I really have no idea what that number stands for, though.
I don't have sex. No girlfriend. And I don't sleep with street workers. As far as I can remember, I have not come into contact with blood (except when killing mosquitoes).
There is a lot of new tests but elisa is just the type of test, there are 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation of elisas, and there continue to be a lot of research for new tests, the newest teste tend to be rapid test accurate as elsia tests, there has been also improvement also in the NAAT tests, and some labs are trying to come up with a new 5th generation rapid test (PCR+Antibody+p24) but is not ready yet.

I am circumcised. non drug using (never used any hard drug). Caucasian male 25 years old.
I didn't want to ask this question too early but I'm hoping enough time has gone by. About 3 months ago a women I had slept with in the past tested positive for HIV, she was an ex-druggy . Most of the times we used protection but not always and the last time I had unprotected sex with her was July 31 of this year. I think we had unprotected sex maybe 5-7 times.
I tested -ve at 19 weeks post my exposure using aproper test (ELISA) but i still suffer from symptoms like pains and aches in my thighs and abdomen and from a very dry mouth.
I am planing to test at 6 months given that i still suffer from symptoms what are the chances that my test is going to turn +ve?
