elisa test result time

I had a risk exposure with a unknon status CSW 3 months ago. After the 3 months I had done a HIV DUO Quick (p24 & abc) test in a private lab. The test result came out negetive. . HIV DUO Quick (p24 abc) test is a acqurate test at 3 months? But I did not done HIV 1&2 antibody ELISA Test. Need HIV 1&2 Anitbody (Elisa) to conclusive? Still I have skin rash, dry cough, white tongue and night sweat.

Dr. EWH, My girlfriend and I tested for hiv and my girlfriend got the result back today. The result says "negative" and in "reference range" column states "nonreactive". It says that test was "hiv 1/2 ABS /W RFLX CONFIRMATION". It also says hiv-1/hiv-2 ABS ELISA. Does that mean ELISA was done first and then confirmed with something else? Or does it mean that it was confirmed by another test because the result of ELISA wasn't good?

On 14th June 2008 I had done a HIV Screen test. The result was negetive. On 25th June I had a medical test in Dubai. I passed the medical test. HIV was not detected in my blood. After 8 weeks from the incident I had again HIV Screed Tested. Again teh result came out Negetive. But 9th week from the incident that means on 14th August 2008, I had little cough problem and neck pain. And also found black and brown marks (without any irritation) in arm and back side.

I have tested 89 days after exposure by ELISA. I dont know which generation of ELISA test is followed in India. I am confused should i consider that test as conclusive or retest after 6 months.

got a tridot test done at 6 weeks it has come negative, but I have read its accuracy is only 99% should i undergo Elisa test, plz help I am in great mental delima and also which is better Tridot test or Elisa. Thanx in Advance May I request Teak or somebody to answer the question.

It's an IgG and IgM test. IgG value : 0.1 (negative if < 0.9 ) IgM value : 0.1 (negative if < 0.9) These are in the 12 week mark. Can I forget about it and move on with my life? Sorry for the spamming but it's been a tough trimester.

For a conclusive negative test, there are no difference. All HIV test are 3 months post exposure for a conclusive result. A DUO can detect HIV apx 8 days earlier than a standard antibody test.

my elisa result was 0.22.. at 4 weak now after 7 weak its also negative but 0.45.. what its mean?? will it be imcreasing and i will become positive??

Dear Doc (and forum readers), About a week or so ago I needed to get a medical check for work. When I got my results back, I was shocked to be told that the Elisa test came back as HIV reactive at 1.52. They tested it twice. I really have no idea what that number stands for, though. I don't have sex. No girlfriend. And I don't sleep with street workers. As far as I can remember, I have not come into contact with blood (except when killing mosquitoes).

I am very worried, I had a Elisa blood lab test 8-10 weeks possible exposure.Possible exposure in January. I went to the doctor and he said my results were negative. Can I be assured that I am negative. I have another test scheduled in July should I be worried.

bt I find in internet tat ELISA was the first test used for detection of HIV....so how cn ELISA is considered as mordern test?

Hi i Just wanted to know how accurate is ELISA third generation tests is, my last sex was at 04/11/2010 i did the first test on 22/1/2011 the result wasELISA : HIV1&HIV2 NEGATIVE (0.15) i started to get worried of the number so i did a second test on 15/2/2011 just to make sure that i completed 3 monthes and the rsult came ELISA : HIV1&HIV2 NEGATIVE (0.33) i freeked out why that number is keeping rising !!
