I in 26 February is a girl without condoms for oral sex, 1 March to test center testing HIV, the test is CMIA and elisa.cmia reported to be positive in that report ELISA is negative. Respectively on 8 March, 30 March and 3 may go on a test center for HIV, the test is ELISA HIV1 2 (Ag AB), report the result is negative. I would like to ask the doctor I can exclude the?? and test center staff told me that CMIA inspection accuracy than ELISA high.
So the test I had mentioned is conclusive at 4 months? Both tests I had were non reactive.

Hi , is it possible to receive an elisa antibody/antigen test result within one hour. I was told it took days to get an accurate result from this type of test. If the elisa test was rushed and results were given in one hour, can i trust the results of this test. I believe they used the newer generation elisa test. Is it possible newer generation test results can be received in one hour, i was told by a doctor it is unlikely to be accurate. Pls give your advice.
my doctor is said to me to give pcr-rt (quantitative) test? what is pcr? I am very worried.
My interpretation is #1 is the standard screening test (ELISA). If the test is positive then the western blot is done automatically. This is the standard testing for lyme that most non-lyme specialists order. I just wonder how much it costs if the test is negative and no further testing is done. It should be a lot less. The ELISA is not very reliable and misses a large percentage of lyme cases. #2 is the western blot in itself.
I think this is what it means but I'm not sure.
as i said about the report i got i have mention above the report was confusing for me as i got my result within an hour so it means it was rapid test and if it was a rapid test then y report show ELISA and WB result.What could make them to test ELISA and WB test?and if they were ELISA and WB test then how can i get report in hr only as ELISA test take min. of 5 days.

My girlfriend and I tested for hiv and my girlfriend got the result back today. The result says "negative" and in "reference range" column states "nonreactive". It says that test was "hiv 1/2 ABS /W RFLX CONFIRMATION". It also says hiv-1/hiv-2 ABS ELISA. Does that mean ELISA was done first and then confirmed with something else? Or does it mean that it was confirmed by another test because the result of ELISA wasn't good?

Please help me understand my report
I am 6-7 weeks pregnant and along with my other other blood reports I also received my HIV-elisa test report, the test was done after 45 days of possible exposure,
the report says -NEGATIVE but also shows test value :0.017 and a cut off value of 0.248.
do they mention these ratios in all reports or is it because of a possibility that i need to take the test again.
I do not know the generation of the test, it was taken in India .
are rapid spot test as accurate and sensitive as an elisa.
My lab report only mentioned Western Blot ans negative. There was no mention of the ELISA test. My question is was an ELISA test done and then it was confirmed with a Western Blot test - or was the only test performed the Westerm Blot since this is the only test that showed up on my lab results.
From what I have read, a Western Blot test will not be performed unless there is a positive ELISA test. This has me concerned as Western Blot is the only test on the report.

can anyone please explain me the result.
Got tested for HIV screening test in hospital about 1 1/2 month, Elisa test in 2 month again Elisa test in 79 days all came negative. Now its 90 days going for another test.
1.Here in my country my Elisa test report was of 20 min approx.how accurate it is?
2. What is my chance of HIV exposure?
3. Doc told me to come back after 6 month, anxiety is killing.

My WB test was INDETERMINATE NEGATIVE and ELISA test result is also NEGATIVE (test was taken after 3 months of exposure). According to some internet sites, related to HIV/AIDS, I read that test result could be NEGATIVE during 'window period', even some one is infected (false result). I also read that WB TEST result could be INDETERMINATE if infected person is in 3rd stage (AIDS).
My query is if I am in 3rd stage (AIDS); could my result come NEGATIVE in ELISA TEST too ? Please help.
