that s a useless number, there is no unit.
it is an ultra obsolete test from prehistory, probably elisa, useless for chronic carriers and with many false negatives because it cannot detect all hbsag types.the number is about reagents in the test and has nothing to do with hbsag
good machines for hbsag detection and quantification since 2000 are architect, siemens, elecsys.these must be used for hbv tests.

you need hbsag quantification in iu/ml, test that looks like not available in US, UK and canada while available in europe, china and rich asian countries
you also need hbvdna pcr, if low you can try ntz monotherapy
quantification with the test you have used aboove have no meaning but maybe if you see a decreasing number hbsag is decreasing although it is the reagent and not hbsag, i don t know because that test is not used as hbsag quantification test
Thats why I asked for the test with iu/ml since PinoyHBVDNA lab results is in iu/ml and they told me it is QUANTIFICATION and only done for patients with clinical test or something like that, I cant understand.
t have access hbsag quantification by abbott architect in India. Can i rely on HbsAg quantification - Elisa and HBV PCR Quantitative tests while taking Nizonide
I bought Nizonide 500mg (Lupin pharmacy) and it costs around 90 INR (10 tablets) and planningto start off from coming Monday.
as to the study it is just a single case even done with elisa which is not suitable for hbsag quantification, the study is so poor that any of us can get better tests, anyway we will see if any result will come
please if possible check the price of generic interferon (not peg) in india, this may be of interest for those who have no free healthcare/insrance
After u do these go for fibroscan liver
the test you have done is not hbsag quantification and can only confirm you have hbv infection, you need much more tests to know if cronic, if making liver damage, if treatment is needed
hbsag quantification in iu/ml, will tell you immune system response, an idea of quantity of virus
hbcab igm, if positive you have acute hbv and will recover.
