i had unprotected vaginal sex with a sex worker about 3 weeeks from now. i had two elisa ag/ab test after 7 days and 22 days.both negitive.not its allmost 28 days.im thinking of going for pcr qulaitative test beacuse i cant keep waiting on.
my question is it reliable?
why people say it should not be run for diagnoses?
is there false positive chances?
is it for new borns only?

What is the right time to take HIV PCR qualitative test? I have taken it after 4 moths. It showed negative. I also took HIV ELISA test after 4 and half months. It also showed negative. But I have been suffering from various problems and have taken various STD tests. Everything showed negative. Im a person with weak immunity power by nature. I strongly believe that, still Im in window period.
hi i did p24 test after 8 weeks of exposure it came non reactive cut off value 0.607 test value 0.564 technician told me its negative 2 days later i did qualitative dna pcr test the result was not detected next day i did cmia test it also non reactive should i worry ?
You don't have to worry about him just yourself. Test at 3 months ELISA test and get your conclusive result.

I got test of PCR RNA Qualitative and it is negative. But when it Got tested of Elisa for HCV it is positive again and PCR RNA Qualitiative is negative. I tested again after 8 months of completion of my medicine course my Elisa is positive again but PCR RNA qualitatie is negative. Is there is any treatment so that my Elisa should become negative at any time.

I proceeded to get a request from my GP and blood samples were taken. I am now waiting for results.

Hey all I had an unprotected oral exposure 10 half weeks ago I"received the bj" they guy was hiv positive but he never told me until afterward I have gone for the dna qualitative pcr which only detects hiv 1 and I've had 3 ELISA 1st one 28 days post exposure again at 6 weeks post exposure and now the last one at 9 weeks and a rapid INSTI prick test at 10 weeks I've got this funny bumpy rash on my belly could this be hiv and if so y are my tests not picking it up
(Performed using the Roche COBAS Ampliprep/COBAS Taqman HIV-1 Qualitative Version 2.0 assay.) It turned out negative. (By then I have been using ARVs for 7 days everyday once)
5. On SEPTEMBER 6th (28 days after risky sex), I did additional screening. I guess it is Elisa again. (By then I have been using ARVs still everyday one pill) It is negative.
I pray that the attached viral load test is "false positive". What is the likelihood of having less than 20 copies after 8-9 days?
Ab qualitative diagnosed test. So now I am in doupt what the differnce between EIA and ELISA test? And is there any difference in terms of implemntation method of the test or both is done in same procedure? Is it enough for me (Niegative result at 84 days) to know my HIV status or I should retest?
