so i want to now what risk i have and do i need futher blood test. my test is negative in 11 weeks and just test using elisa method only. do i need another test like pcr, western bolt or rapid test to confirm back.
so is conclusive enough just do the elisa test only in 11 weeks.

cmia reported to be positive in that report ELISA is negative. Respectively on 8 March, 30 March and 3 may go on a test center for HIV, the test is ELISA HIV1 2 (Ag AB), report the result is negative. I would like to ask the doctor I can exclude the?? and test center staff told me that CMIA inspection accuracy than ELISA high.
my question is how reliable is rapid test here in malaysia because i ask the clinics they told me 99.8% but i want to know do i need further testing like elisa. the other foundation told me their test is equivalent to EIA. i am scared all these symtoms within the exact ars frame. please help me do i need to test again?
btw to get an Elisa test here in Malaysia.. all the major labs ie Gribbles,Linklabs, Pathlabs charges roughly aroung USD 7.00...

Hi Dr HHH, I'm from Malaysia and sorry for the bad English. I've unprotected sex with unknown HIV partner 3 months ago. I've undergo a few blood test within the window period. My first test was at week 2 HIV ag/ab - negative. My GP advise me to go for western blot due to my anxiety and worry. I know is kind of stupid to go for WB as I know it's only used to confirm positive Elisa Test, but not Negative Elisa Test. The result came back at week 4 - Negative.
The test u told is 4th generation test duo test I'd for Ag/Ab.the one u took on 16th day ....restart the same test at 4th week or test after three month ...it's your decision I have given u my opinion on your situation ....
Fourth generation ELISA for HIV1/HIV2
1) 4th generation ELISA is a DUO TEST (Antibody and Antigen Sandwich Test) .It actually looks for the P24 (protein) Antigen and Antibodies simultaneously.
2) P24 Antigen is almost always present in the body after acquiring the virus till the 4th week after infection and then it disappears .
3)Once the P24 antigen disappears,antibodies starts to show up.
then the doctor ask me to do hiv test. i was so scared at that time. but i did the hiv test by elisa in july 2009 and it came nonreactive. the doctor ask me to retest in 6 month mark. i never come to retest. but later about 2-3months i discover painless lymph node about 1cm in size in lower part of my left neck. then i found another 2 in lower part of my right neck. then on my right cheek. i am so scared. now is 2011. never been retest. i am so scared. i dont know about 3 month.
I tested using a rapid finger prick test after 3 weeks and came back negative, since i assume i had all ars symptoms i continued to do more test on week 4 elisa, and western blot end of week 4, it all came out negative. after that i waited for 12 weeks and tested using Genie II Hiv 1/2 bio rad, finger prick test.. which came out negative also,Thank GOD.

Prior returning to Australia, i had gastric problem may be due to over eating hot local food and experienced slight sorethoat which went away already. I underwent a HIV test (Elisa) in Malaysia after 8 days of exposure from the first encounter and it came back negative.
I just returned to Australia on 21 April and had a flu injection.
i knew i should wait at least for 8 weeks to have an elisa test so i took a RT-PCR test after 4 weeks that came back negative. and an elisa test at that time came back negative too.
i lost my appetite frequently and kind of nausea but it was like a sense that disappeared and again i had it.it was repeated for 3 times in the first 40 days.
after 8 weeks i took another elisa test that came back negative again.
In 8 sept, i had protected sex with russian esscort in malaysia. She did oral sex with condom and we had vaginal sex. After two weeks, i did ELISA for hiv-1 hiv-2 and it is non-reactive for both. I did ask for health status. And she told me that she was worried as me. She ask me to go for a doctor. Do i need to repeat the test?
