Si quisiera realizarme un test Elisa de anticuerpos rutinario, y me he vacunado contra la influenza de manera intramuscular, cuánto tiempo debo esperar para poderme realizar la prueba sin que esta pueda verse afectada? En caso tal de que este tipo de vacuna afecte el sistema inmunológico. Es verdad que estas vacunas pueden afectar las pruebas?
Cabe anotar que me realice una prueba a los 3 y 4 meses de la posible situación de riesgo arrojando siempre un resultado negativo.
2013 Doctor told me to do antibody test such as elisa and if elisa reactive then do western blot. On 22.08.2013 my result was by card :no band, cmia 5.52,elfa 0.05, on 17.09.2013 result was by card: no band, cmia 4.92,elfa 0.02, On 26.10.2013 my result was By card: no band, cmia 6.29, elfa 0.04. i took influenza vaccine on 31.07.2013,prevner13 on 22.10.2013, ppsv23 on 16.10.2013,took rabbies vaccine 10 months agowithout any symptomatic or asymptomatic reason.
The last time I did with ELISA technoque the result was 1.76 as per the analyist statement but in fact I do not have the virus always PCR result is zero.
My problem now that I have a very intesresting job offer in KSA. in KSA the government just consider the antibodies test for workers and they do not recognize PCR result.
My question is: Is there any treatment can be done to hide these antibodies in my blood? giving the infromation that the result of ELISA should be less than 1.
You don't need testing and antibiotics would not effect the test result had you had a risk which you didn't.
I am forgetting about the incident till 3 months when I can take a ELISA test but my symptoms seem to get worse, fever has stopped but severe sore throat and dry cough is building up a lott. Don't understand why and it is a crazyy coincidence that this is occuring right at the 2-4 week mark which is messing with my head.
yesterday i hav been tested for hiv1 and hiv 2 ,the result was negative ..i have conducted this test after 3 years of my exposure........i am worried because yesterday i have also taken medicine for influenza & bad throat .....does taking this kind of medicines affect test results???..... is my test reliable or not?? ..or should i go for another test??.........reply soon ...
anyways im going to schedule an appointment for monday at the Drs for my bladder concerns im also going to ask for hiv test, i know both of you state no risk but ive read from other reports from drs on med help that cuts pose a risk im finding myself obsessing over hiv, it will be 25 weeks since the incident this weekend so i know im well passed the window period. im scared but no its something i must do.
I was diagnosed with influenza on sunday in the er and the doctor prescribed me with tamiflu 75mg but I'm worried about my baby getting harmed by the medication because I'm only 14 weeks...any comments or recommendations???
right now the living center side has been quarantined with influenza and its making its way to nursing home. makes me nervous because I work there and I don't think this is something I should be around! But I do need money and who knows how long it will be in the building. What do you think about being around influenza?
I have been sleeping with a cool humidifier, and that doesnt seem to help. my girlfriend went to the doctor and she was told influenza. But some of out symtoms arent the same.
for some reason, since i can remember, everytime i test for HIV through ELIZA or any antibody test, the result is always inconclusive. i only get a negative result after i do western blot or pcr. you can imagine in what state i become everytime this happens.
i have been told by doctors that this was a frequent occurence but i never understood why.
my doctor is said to me to give pcr-rt (quantitative) test? what is pcr? I am very worried.
There is a lot of new tests but elisa is just the type of test, there are 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation of elisas, and there continue to be a lot of research for new tests, the newest teste tend to be rapid test accurate as elsia tests, there has been also improvement also in the NAAT tests, and some labs are trying to come up with a new 5th generation rapid test (PCR+Antibody+p24) but is not ready yet.
My husband had positive elisa test with 3.45 value in august 2016 for hepatitis c. Then he got treatment aND it showed 0.85 value in January 2017. He got checked his hepatitis C by elisa test again two days back. It showed a value of 85.0. He's active n doing job. No cough or any other symptoms. He did it as just a routine checkup. Please guide if elisa test can be 85.0 ?? What should we do next? Much worried! !

About a week or so ago I needed to get a medical check for work. When I got my results back, I was shocked to be told that the Elisa test came back as HIV reactive at 1.52. They tested it twice. I really have no idea what that number stands for, though.
I don't have sex. No girlfriend. And I don't sleep with street workers. As far as I can remember, I have not come into contact with blood (except when killing mosquitoes).
hello, i had protected sex with an hiv positive girl (i just discovered), i had sex with her twice, but she gave me several oral sex, i saw some blood on my penis in one of them, from her mouth i think.. i have no symptoms untill now, i did Elisa test 52 days after 1st time and 20 days after last time and today it´s been 2 months since 1st time (the day i saw the blood) and 1 month after our last time.
Hi i Just wanted to know how accurate is ELISA third generation tests is,
my last sex was at 04/11/2010 i did the first test on 22/1/2011 the result wasELISA : HIV1&HIV2 NEGATIVE (0.15) i started to get worried of the number so i did a second test on 15/2/2011 just to make sure that i completed 3 monthes and the rsult came ELISA : HIV1&HIV2 NEGATIVE (0.33) i freeked out why that number is keeping rising !!
