Avatar n tn Moreover, I was a little bit feeling cool on my both hand until I wore a jacket which somehow disappeared them from days of 42 to 48. At 42 days after my risky action when I thought I was HIV positive, my 4th Gen HIV Elisa test came out Non-Reactive. I could not believe the test result. I assumed that something goes wrong on my body not to produce enough antibody in order to be diagnosis by test.
Avatar m tn After about 40 days, I went to my doctor, confessed to what happened and he performed a blood test (immunology) and a urine test for a variety of STI's as well as Hep C. and Mono. Further, the blood was tested for any abnormalities of the immune system. He thought a couple of my glands (one groin, one above my collar bone appeared to be swollen). The good news was that everything appeared to be completely normal, with no sign of any irregularities in blood or urine.
Avatar m tn Hi..There I need your help please... One year back, I had tested immunology and serology test, post 3 month of exposure with a sex worker. It came negative. i have read many times here and there that retesting is required again after 3 months. My test names says immunochromatography technique used for antibody HIV 1& 2. is this test similar to ELISA test or what? which one is better? I am planning to get marry soon. Should i go for retesting.? and what is a serology test stands for?
Avatar n tn What is the difference in the Oralswab rapid test and unigold rapid finger prick test? Are they both just as accurate and sensitive? Is one better or more reliable than the other? Is it just better to test with ELISA test or is there a difference?
Avatar m tn I had a HIV test one week after exposure at my local hospital (Delta Regional Medical Center) and it came out negative. The test was 8/27/2012 and the test came back two days later. And my bill 1,175.00 in all but my LAB/Immunology bill was 192.00. Now I don't know what type of test they used. I don't know if it was just a plain antibody test or the RNA, PCR or antigen test so I had a one month check( 5th week) up at my local health department which I got tested on 9/27/2012.
Avatar f tn It can become a vicious cycle because, being hypothyroid can result in a lowered production of stomach acid which in turn leads to the malabsorption of iron. Ferritin levels along with other iron status findings should be followed up to establish trends, since some subclinical levels are definitely NOT normal for certain certain people and also when down trending, it is a sign of an upcoming deficiency, which may be difficult to correct before any serious consequences develop.
Avatar m tn Go get tested at 6 weeks and if you want again at 12 weeks for it to be conclusive but a negative at 6 weeks will probably not change. Also test for all other stds just in case. A test past 3 months is not necessary. Pray for me and I will pray for you man. Thank You. And yes the chance from a woman to a man is very low, but not impossible, never put yourself in that situation again. Take care and good health!

Avatar m tn I decided to do a 10 panel STD/HIV test, I had never taken a test for anything in my life before. Everything came back negative (including HSV1) except for HSV2 that came back positive at 1.90 IgG Here's a little background on me. I had two suspicious single encounters (unprotected vaginal) a week apart from one another, the last one was on June 26th and I waited until August 22nd to get tested, so that's just a little under 8 weeks.
Avatar f tn I was in hospital, with suspected of acute pancreatidis, but this diagnose wasn´t suspected. They make Elisa test and biopsy for celiac sprue, for the first time was confirmed, but then was suspected. I don´t drink milk and alcohol and I don´t eat garlic, because I have abdominal pain nausea and neurological problems. On 2009, for the first time doctors diagnosed me night epilepsy but then they diagnosed migraine.
237053 tn?1258828426 Well I went in to see my GP today and the WB test results were back. It was NEG. I've so upset right now! I was so sure all these sx were going to boil down to Lymes. Everything else has been ruled out so he said he's going to "watch" me for MS again and possibly run some more tests. I'm no happy right now! I got a copy of the lab and it looks that I was positive (reactive to two different ones).
Avatar m tn or if not genetic it can be due to a lot of things like stress, malnutrition or lack of certain vitamins like A, E , zinc copper,Iron, selenium. But these usually can be found in a multivitamin because you only need the zinc etc. in trace amounts. If you are not absorbing nutrients right through the intestines that also possible. But, usually you see floating , fatty or glossy stools. Another cause can be anemia. Have you had a complete blood count done?
Avatar m tn I had sexual encounter with an prost on 19th april 2014 and my condom broke, I was very anxious so on 16 may 2014 and 17 th may 2014 I took DNA PCR test and TRI DOT TEST, both were negative, on 15 th july I took another tri dot test, it was also negative 3 days prior to 3 months, is the test conclusive or I have to take an Elisa Test, and I started to took Flonase nasal spray for allurgic rhinitis, does it delays seroconversion or not.
Avatar f tn Hiye, this may seem a silly question but is the Elisa test that is used for HIV the same as the Elisa test used for rheumatoid arthritis?.. Is the Elisa just a standard antibody test that is not disease specific and if reactive then a specific test is used?..
