On 14th June 2008 I had done a HIV Screen test. The result was negetive. On 25th June I had a medical test in Dubai. I passed the medical test. HIV was not detected in my blood. After 8 weeks from the incident I had again HIV Screed Tested. Again teh result came out Negetive. But 9th week from the incident that means on 14th August 2008, I had little cough problem and neck pain. And also found black and brown marks (without any irritation) in arm and back side.
What was the test? If it was duo test / combo :antigen and antibody) its conclusive 100% .
If it was Elisa 3gen(only antibody) its conclusive according to some doctors after 4 weeks . 6 weeks according to others. And some recommend retesting after 3 months since the exposure .
hi sir,u knew my story,after that days finally i'll do another test antibody and antigenp24 at 72 days after exposure and the other antibody test at 100 days after exposure,but i'm not sure about accuracy and quality of the kit or generation of the test,is my result conclusive ?
i did not test for all sti like sephlis and other but i do hep b,c at 45 days.(my sgot and sgpt(alt) is 38 and 97 at 100 days)
is it important to test for all the sti ?
of course it is approved by ministry of health here in U.A.

Thanks for your response guys. I got back from a compulsory govt. test in Dubai and i'm HIV-. Being HIV+ in this part of the world is horrible, the govt. treats HIV+s like terrorists. In this country its not really about being HIV+ and getting treatment, its the fear of how you'll get treated (as in tortured) which in a way makes things way worse.
I just wanted to thank you guys for your support, even thought the time it made things worse LOL :).
Rather, a positive test (any positive test) is then tested using a different test- sometimes a Western blot, other times using another test such a rapid test which tests for different viral proteins than the ELISA. The second test should be done on the same blood specimen as the first test taken. Thus I am a bit surprised at several things:
1. That the Western blot will take 2 weeks
2. That more blood was requested to do a Western blot

my story goes like this last year I had to hiv test becuase I changed the place in work in and the law here says that you must test each time and both were -ve. Then in mid december I went to a besuness trip to dubai and I met an Iranian CSW and we went to the hotel together we had sex twice protected but I was drunk and I dont recall if the condom was Latex or another type. she also preformed oral on me with out a protection.
, I know that my question is repeated but kindly requesting your expert opinion, back on April 4th I had a sex intercourse with SW in Dubai. Unprotected oral for less than a minute and protected vaginal then anal for about 3 minutes then I changed the condom for no reason and continue with vaginal sex until ejaculation.
I had an encounter around 5 weeks ago where I performed oral sex on a female prostitute in Dubai (she was Asian although I am not sure from where exactly). The vaginal sex was protected. I was worried so I got tested for all STD's. Everything was negative except for the HIV ELISA test which showed a weak positive result (1.20 against a cutoff of 1.0).
As you can imagine I am freaking out right now and am having trouble functioning/eating/sleeping and working.
7 days ago, I had sex with street girl in Dubai, she was african nationality. i kissed her neck and breast not lips. she gave oral with condom one then vaginal intercourse with the same condom. i came inside z condom so i guess it didn't break. im still worried. i touched her vagina with my finger. im afraid abt my finger if it had cuts. also so afraid if condom really works always or not.. this is my first and last time for such thing.

Antibody test (HIV 1, 2 abs +p24ag) used CMIA Methodology and again it was non-reactive with 0.10 values. This test has been carried out here in Dubai and same day i got the result. PCR test sample has been sent to India and PCR DNA test was carried out from SUPER RELIGARE LABORATORIES LTD (cap accredited laboratory) and bot HIV 1 and HIV 2 DNA was not detected.
I remained cool and calm few days yet i could not get rid of all thinking.
i did had sexual encounter with nigerian girl in May2009 .. then i did test after 8 months in a clinic in dubai. i did nt know which Test they conducted .. they said negative .. after that i had worries . so i did test in india .. they said - card test 1&2.. said negative ....but worries did nt gone ..so i did CMIA 4the generation test after 1 year 2 months of exposure.. got value 0.14.. I asked the to do ELISA .. but they did CMIA.. i dont know why..

As far as my knowledge goes although I was a bit drunk I had protected sex with 3 sex workers in Kenya and Abu Dhabi, Dubai in August. When I got back to the U.S I noticed white coating on my tongue and sometimes this is associated with STD's so I got scared and decided to test for HIV.
I tested negative at 8 days of post exposure with DNA by PCR and antibody test.
I tested negative again at 32 post exposure DNA by PCR with antibody ELISA test.
