1. How about the Herpeselect Elisa test?
2. Is it ture that All patient , infected by HSV-II, could yield the specific antibody IgG after enough time ?
3. Would the IgG dispear in the recurrent patient?
4. Does the Herpeselect kit can test the microcrystalline IgG?
5. Does the Herpeselect elisa kit suit to the clinic diagnose?

not too surprising you are also hsv1+, most adults are whether they get obvious cold sores or not to know it.
the pcr test actually looks for herpes dna. since herpes isn't a blood borne virus, getting a pcr blood test is useless in most situations. we typically use it on obvious lesions to look for herpes.
if your partner is hsv1 negative, you can perform protected oral sex on him if you both prefer that.
I only get symptoms (soreness/redness/itchiness following sex followed by pain when urinating/a sore area that i cant see very well but assume is an ulcer) when i am aborad visiting my partner in Turkey (He works in tourism and has had several girlfriends and i dont believe he has been very good about using protection, but no symptoms) Whilst there i have had one visual inspection by a gynaecologist who said it wasnt herpes, and a blood test which was type 1 and 2 negative after approx 14 weeks
The first lab again was an IFA test, and just the HSV1 was positive. HSV was negative. On the second lab it was an ELISA test (the test sensitivity says 99% for HSV1 and 92% for HSV2) and it was negative on both. Although compared to the last month ELISA test, the values for HSV1 were a little bit higher this time (5.6 vs. 4.4 of a lower than 9 scale for negative).
I called both labs and told them the contradictory results. On the lab with positive results they retook the test.
Elisa is really good at hsv2 (97~%) but not as good for hsv1 (90-91%) after 4 mobths have passed. After 16 weeks WB is superior to Elisa. Elisa is slightly better than biokit. No herpes doesnt cause any dead cells or ling term effects unless there was a bacterail infection additional to the viral lesion but his is very rare and would not go unnoticed.4 I cant say but everyone has little white bumps, ireegularities, ingrown hairs etc.

about a month ago i had a tear in my vagina and it was painful, i also had itchy rash around in my inner thighs and buttocks area which use to come and go duing my periods. when i visited my gyno he wanted me to do HSV 1&2 elisa igm and igg test. the igm test was positive for 2.14, igg was negative. my doctor didnt say i have herpes , he said i had a viral infection and priscribed acylovir.
Positive for HSV-2, negative for others ( HIV, HSV1, Hepatitis, Syphilis, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea ). The herpes test kit used was HerpeSelect ELISA for HSV-1 and HSV-2. Specifically, the HerpeSelect 1 ELISA result was 0.35 and the HerpeSelect 2 ELISA result was 8.79
I repeated the tests in September 2009. A different provider who also used HerpeSelect ELISA. Same results as the testing in May - postive for HSV-2, negative for all others.
I can not find anything that suggests there is an Elispot herpes test. Make sure the clinic has the correct test. There is one for the Epstein–Barr virus, which is a member of the herpes family of viruses, but it is NOT the herpes simplex test you need.
If the ELISA they offer is a type specific IgG test, that's very accurate. It's not as accurate as the WB, but nothing is. The hsv1 IgG test misses 30% of infections, and 8% of hsv2 infections. You already got the IgG test.
just 1 week back.i got it tested from a path lab by rapid elisa test in blood.both hiv 1 and hiv 2 were negative.
When diagnose with gonorrea I did all STD blood and culture test, including hiv elisa blood test. I told the woman to realize herself the same test. She said she just realized the gonorrea test and that she was negative. then I told her to realize elisa hiv test and she said she would but she haven't yet by telling me she would do it but then she refuses my calls. every blood test I did show negative. then I waited three months to realize another elisa hiv test and it was negative too.
