They were both Serum Elisa tests for IgG and are positive for both. The observed values are 40.83 for HSV1 and 102.5 for HSV2. The reference says anything above 22 R.U/ml is positive. My numbers are quite high. Does that have any special significance? I have never had any symptoms and got myself checked only coz two of my lady partners developed genital blisters and it's their first outbreak. I'm probably having an active outbreak at the moment but it's asymptomatic.
Are these results conclusive for being negative for HIV or do I need to get another ELISA again on 90 days post? The odds I've figured for myself are about 1/20,000,000,000 which makes me feel pretty good (using 3% incidence which is probably very high in the first place). I've also read that the difference between 82 and 90 days is irrelevant. However, it's just one of those things where a very slight possibility still seems uncomfortable.
If you are diagosed with Fibromyalgia and find yourself getting sicker and sicker like I was, you absolutely need to have a comprehensive test for parasite infections. Parasites are much more common than people realize and many doctors don't routinely test for them. Individuals with Fibromyalgia are even more susceptible to parasite infections than the normal, healthy person.
i already pass the 3 month period to get tested for HIV
my question is , "HIV AG\AB test" after the three months it will be searching for the AB as well as it search for the AG if it found it,
so what is the method used to search for the AB in the (HIV AG\AB) test , 2- is is better than the method in Elisa AB test after 3 months , 3- if i did h="hiv AG\AB" test after three months " is it conclusive as if i did HIV Elisa AB test"

No matte what generation for test method , elisa generation 2 ? 3 or 4 ? Someone said 3 month is conclusive but some said 6 month & 12 month . Which is the correct timetable for conclusive test result ? Last test was 177 days by elisa negative but don't know what generation , was this result conclusive ?
A negative Western blot test means the ELISA test was a false positive test. The Western blot test can also be unclear, in which case more testing is done.
Negative tests do not rule out HIV infection. There is a period of time (called the "window period") between HIV infection and the appearance of anti-HIV antibodies that can be measured. This period is 3 months from exposure. However, negative WB at 45 days is certainly very encouraging.
My husband had positive elisa test with 3.45 value in august 2016 for hepatitis c. Then he got treatment aND it showed 0.85 value in January 2017. He got checked his hepatitis C by elisa test again two days back. It showed a value of 85.0. He's active n doing job. No cough or any other symptoms. He did it as just a routine checkup. Please guide if elisa test can be 85.0 ?? What should we do next? Much worried! !
It may not be a virus...it may be a parasite. I was tested for parasites as well, but sometimes parasites don't cooperate with the tests; they only test positive with eggs, which means the parasite actually has to have had laid eggs at the time of the test or they need to re-test in certain intervals. Not true with all parasites, but with many, especially malaria. Malaria is likely one of the most underdiagnosed parasite infection because people assume one automatically dies.

About a week or so ago I needed to get a medical check for work. When I got my results back, I was shocked to be told that the Elisa test came back as HIV reactive at 1.52. They tested it twice. I really have no idea what that number stands for, though.
I don't have sex. No girlfriend. And I don't sleep with street workers. As far as I can remember, I have not come into contact with blood (except when killing mosquitoes).
1 percent of the population is a low incidence of hiv, every elisa test is good at 3 months, that you have been told already, with each generation of test they get to detect a little bit earlier, elisa has been used to detect many viruses other than hiv, its an extremely reliable way to test for a virus, to culture for the virus takes to long. i doubt if they still use first generation test unless its home access test, also rapid test like oraquick are equilivant to 2 nd gen testing.
my doctor is said to me to give pcr-rt (quantitative) test? what is pcr? I am very worried.
