However there is a potential risk, mainly of having contracted one of the common infections, like
Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, etc. The positive blood
test for Chlamydia would indicate infection, but as it tests for antibodies, this means that you have had this infection at some point, and not specifically in this incident. Once you had taken the antibiotics, the result of a swab performed after that would defintiley be affected and would not detect Chlamydia.
