c last month and all was clear. Last week i had a swab test for Gon and a urine test for Chlamydia. The Gon test came back negative but the Chlamydia test was positive. The test was Chlamydia ELISA.
Given the advice on other posts this was the last thing i thought would be positive. My intention is to repeat the test next week before taking the doxy and telling my wife to get tested.
However, Chlamydia show positive for the 12 weeks comprehensive std test. The following are my stupid questions,
1) Since both chlamydia tests are the same (Urine PCR), how could it be negative on 5 weeks then positive on 12 weeks? (I have no sex after that exposure)
2) Since my exposure is protected vaginal sex, semi protected oral and french kissing, so it means chlamydia can pass through the condom? or I experienced condom breakage?

I had protected sex, no oral play with a massage parlor worker 4 months back. This week my elisa test came back reactive while western blot test indicated negative result for hiv. I assume this is a false positive result for elisa. I also did 2 oraquick tests which were negative.
Do you think o am infected?
you were never at risk, if your doctor thinks you were in some risk the test to do ..... is an elisa a 4th generation test wich looks for antibodies and also for p24 antigen.
You have asked this many many times now, both here and in the HIV forum.
You have also been told that no std would cause all these symptoms.
To test for stds, ask your doctor for tests for chlamydia, gonorrhea, NGU and syphilis. If you haven't been vaccinated for hepatitis B, test for that as well.
But again, no std would cause all these symptoms.

I was wondering why there shouldn't be only one hiv antibody test that covers at least all the known HIV and all it's subtypes. it makes me crazy when the people go for hiv test and they have absolutely no f* idea there are so many types of hiv like hiv1 hiv 2 hive group o hiv group N , this is insane. i don't understand why the test that don't cover everything even get the permission to come to the market. producers just want to make money no matter what.
Again, the fact that you had an IgG test for Chlamydia is not common from what I have seen. You have a numerical result for Herpes type 2 because of the type of test - ELISA. Results are measured quantitatively depending on the presence of anitbody in your blood.
3. Oral sex is generally low risk for STDs. You cannot get chlamydia from oral sex. There is a low risk for gonorrhea, syphilis, and HSV-1 (if your partner did not have a visible cold sore, forget it!).
Its to early to be considered conclusive,you need to test again at 3 months for a 100% conclusive result.All the best.
The specific Chlamydia pneumoniae-IgG- and -IgA-antibodies are an indication for an actual humoral immune response against Chlamydia pneumoniae. Please look at the Chlamydia-Elispot-LTT for the actual cellular activity.

The result of the Elispot-Lymphocyte-Transformation-Test (LTT) is an indication for an actual cellular activity against Clamydia pneumoniae.
Regarding the tests, it is recommended waiting 1-5 days after chlamydia exposure and 2-6 days to test for gonorrhea after unprotected sexual intercourse.The accuracy of chlamydia tests depends on the kind of test used and the type of sample that is collected and retesting can be done after 2 weeks of the sexual intercourse as false negative test results can also be there. Hence it would be wise to repeat the tests if the symptoms persist even after 2 weeks of sexual exposure.
However there is a potential risk, mainly of having contracted one of the common infections, like Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, etc. The positive blood test for Chlamydia would indicate infection, but as it tests for antibodies, this means that you have had this infection at some point, and not specifically in this incident. Once you had taken the antibiotics, the result of a swab performed after that would defintiley be affected and would not detect Chlamydia.
If my guess is correct, then you probably have had only urine testing for gonorrhea (and chlamydia), but not rectal testing for gonorrhea/chlamydia or a throat culture for gonorrhea. These would be reasonable to do, but generally are not available without professional evaluation. Your local STD clinic or NHS GUM clinic would be a good option. (I'm guessing you're in the UK -- "learnt" instead of "learned".)
Bottom line: For sure you didn't catch HIV.
You need to see your dentist or doctor for more info on burning mouth but anyone can get it as there are multiple potential causes of it.
You seem to have self-diagnosed BM from the way you wrote this post, and self diagnosis is rarely correct so you might not even have BM.
Tests for std all negative.(urine test, culture test and dna test) But I have got treatment from gonorrhea (cefixin for 7 days), to treat Chlamydia I got doxycycline for7 days, and flogil to treat Trichomonas for 7 days, but nothing help Then I got apo-fluconezole to treat yeast infections I become to feel better but in 2 days symptoms came back. My doctor and urologist sad if tests for std are OK then I am OK to.
Positive for HSV-2, negative for others ( HIV, HSV1, Hepatitis, Syphilis, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea ). The herpes test kit used was HerpeSelect ELISA for HSV-1 and HSV-2. Specifically, the HerpeSelect 1 ELISA result was 0.35 and the HerpeSelect 2 ELISA result was 8.79
I repeated the tests in September 2009. A different provider who also used HerpeSelect ELISA. Same results as the testing in May - postive for HSV-2, negative for all others.
But at 8weeks STD blood test chlamydia is negative, on 3 months I don't have test chlamydia until 6 months STD test results chlamydia Antibody was positive. so I afraid HIV antibody also can extend exposure?
