I had protected sex, no oral play with a massage parlor worker 4 months back. This week my elisa test came back reactive while western blot test indicated negative result for hiv. I assume this is a false positive result for elisa. I also did 2 oraquick tests which were negative.
Do you think o am infected?
Most IgG tests are ELISA tests. Herpeselect, Capital etc. are all ELISA tests. Just about every test with with a numerical result will be an ELISA test.
Sometimes there can be cross reactivity between HSV1 and HSV2 but more likely it is other protein junk sticking to the testing wells.

Its to early to be considered conclusive,you need to test again at 3 months for a 100% conclusive result.All the best.
However, Chlamydia show positive for the 12 weeks comprehensive std test. The following are my stupid questions,
1) Since both chlamydia tests are the same (Urine PCR), how could it be negative on 5 weeks then positive on 12 weeks? (I have no sex after that exposure)
2) Since my exposure is protected vaginal sex, semi protected oral and french kissing, so it means chlamydia can pass through the condom? or I experienced condom breakage?
However there is a potential risk, mainly of having contracted one of the common infections, like Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, etc. The positive blood test for Chlamydia would indicate infection, but as it tests for antibodies, this means that you have had this infection at some point, and not specifically in this incident. Once you had taken the antibiotics, the result of a swab performed after that would defintiley be affected and would not detect Chlamydia.
t ejaculate into my mouth but due to possible precum risk I tested at 3, 5, 6, 7 months ELISA neg, 11 months duo test neg, 13 months PCR RNA undetectable, 15 months ELISA negative. But after one year of exposure I developed burning sensation in mouth and palate that just wont go away!! some post on the body claimed that he had it too and he turned out to be poz after a couple of tests?! He said men dont have burning mouth and if they do, it's related to this bug. Is this true?
But at 8weeks STD blood test chlamydia is negative, on 3 months I don't have test chlamydia until 6 months STD test results chlamydia Antibody was positive. so I afraid HIV antibody also can extend exposure?
had unprotected sex on 15 06 2011. got terrible bladder pain next day. got elisa test after 15 days. negative. got pcr dna test on 29 08 11. negative. got weston blot test on 05 09 2011 negative. got elisa on 15 10 2011again, negative. hiv ruled out by medhelp experts. had 3 courses of antibiotics with 10 tablets each time. what may be the problem?
Positive for HSV-2, negative for others ( HIV, HSV1, Hepatitis, Syphilis, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea ). The herpes test kit used was HerpeSelect ELISA for HSV-1 and HSV-2. Specifically, the HerpeSelect 1 ELISA result was 0.35 and the HerpeSelect 2 ELISA result was 8.79
I repeated the tests in September 2009. A different provider who also used HerpeSelect ELISA. Same results as the testing in May - postive for HSV-2, negative for all others.
