For example if they divided it into 5 parts, that will be make five tests and get five result, if one of them is positive then they will re-test to confirm. At day 28 I did a PCR DNA Test and it came out negative, and at day 75 I did an ELISA test, and it came out Negative, should I do another test? I read in some areas on the web where it says at 13 weeks ELISA test is conclusive, and then in some areas it is stated that 10 weeks is sufficient, what is the difference.

First, have another HSV-2 antibody test produced by a different manufacturer. For example, get the BiokitUSA test, which is done in 20 minutes while waiting in the doctor's office. If positive, it will almost certainly mean you are infected. If negative, it will reinforce the possibility of a false positive test. Second, have an HSV Western blot test (done at the University of Washington laboratory in Seattle, but can be sent to them by any lab).
I went to do an HIV rapid test using a blood samples, waited 30min and found NEGETIVE. the lab also sent my blood to an ELISA test and im waiting for the results.
I'V heard that systematic candida can cause an alisa test the be false-positive or inconclusive,that beacause candida antibodies are very similar to hiv antibodies .

The Focus Technologies’ HerpeSelect® 1 and 2 ELISA IgG test came back NEGATIVE for HSV1 and POSITIVE for HSV2. The HSV2 count was 1.45 H.
Some of the previous posts confused me.. According to my test result sheet, anything over .9 is considered positive. This test is supposed to be almost 100 % accurate, but some of the posts made me think that since I have a "low" score for antibodies, under 3, I might be negative after all.
Any ideas?
I would like to know the earlier HIV symptoms starting from 2 weeks until 6 weeks from exposure right that is mean I If i get flu on example after 7 weeks it is normal right because I feel now I have flu and I am worry the test combo p24 5 weeks after exposure is reliable if the result not detected and this result won't be changed after 90 days on example if I retest please let me know thank you a lot for assistance and advice doctor
I just dont get in my 9 week tests were negative for both so i caught both HSV 1 and 2 after a one time exposure from some jackwagon that said they don't even have it. i HATE liars...
I do not know why you originally decided to test for HSV but your results are an example of the reason we do not routinely recommend HSV antibody testing unless there is a good reason for suspicion such as a partner with genital herpes or having had recurring genital lesions. The tests are not good enough for general testing.
The "gold standard" for HSV antibody testing is the Western Blot assay performed at the University of Washington.
If you had an ELISA test that was negative 3 months after your risk then you do not have HIV. So did you have an ELISA at 3 months?
From your post I can not be sure if you did. All the stuff about the other tests (Western Blot, DNA PCR and p24 antigen) is not the correct way to test for HIV.
You seem to be an example of someone who has had too many tests. Instead of making things easier, more tests can make it harder to understand.
I believe they use a very sensitive ELISA test in Australia. Often there is IgM and IgG performed together. I believe the testing to be superior to Herpeselect for example.
The tests need to be put into perspective. You were never at risk of HSV2 and it isn't surprising that the result is negative. Australia has a very low level of HSV2 comparatively.
You are conclusively negative for HSV2.
my doctor is said to me to give pcr-rt (quantitative) test? what is pcr? I am very worried.
There is a lot of new tests but elisa is just the type of test, there are 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation of elisas, and there continue to be a lot of research for new tests, the newest teste tend to be rapid test accurate as elsia tests, there has been also improvement also in the NAAT tests, and some labs are trying to come up with a new 5th generation rapid test (PCR+Antibody+p24) but is not ready yet.
My husband had positive elisa test with 3.45 value in august 2016 for hepatitis c. Then he got treatment aND it showed 0.85 value in January 2017. He got checked his hepatitis C by elisa test again two days back. It showed a value of 85.0. He's active n doing job. No cough or any other symptoms. He did it as just a routine checkup. Please guide if elisa test can be 85.0 ?? What should we do next? Much worried! !

About a week or so ago I needed to get a medical check for work. When I got my results back, I was shocked to be told that the Elisa test came back as HIV reactive at 1.52. They tested it twice. I really have no idea what that number stands for, though.

hello, i had protected sex with an hiv positive girl (i just discovered), i had sex with her twice, but she gave me several oral sex, i saw some blood on my penis in one of them, from her mouth i think.. i have no symptoms untill now, i did Elisa test 52 days after 1st time and 20 days after last time and today it´s been 2 months since 1st time (the day i saw the blood) and 1 month after our last time.
Hi i Just wanted to know how accurate is ELISA third generation tests is,
my last sex was at 04/11/2010 i did the first test on 22/1/2011 the result wasELISA : HIV1&HIV2 NEGATIVE (0.15) i started to get worried of the number so i did a second test on 15/2/2011 just to make sure that i completed 3 monthes and the rsult came ELISA : HIV1&HIV2 NEGATIVE (0.33) i freeked out why that number is keeping rising !!
