I had a sexual encounter with a man i don't know. We kept contact. He gave me oral for 3 minutes. He turned around and wanted me to poke his anus wich i did, I did not see where the head of my penis was going but i have not felt it in. I don't know if it was dipping without me realizing it. On my penis i had candida on the shaft of my penis and near the urethra. I had been masturbating before getting with him so it was already irritated.
I have oral candida for 2 and a half years now. I tried to see many docs, and as much treatments. Fact is my tongue is still the same, no improvement.
2 years ago, I had many symptoms that made me think of HIV: enlarged nodes all around my body, 3 months of nausea, dizziness and terrible headaches. Sore throat, oral and vaginal candida. I had not protected sex that period and for that I had a HIV negative test 10 months window period. So almost for sure it's not HIV.

I recently have been very sick, and after having an endoscopy, the dr found that I have esophageal candida and an esophageal ulcer. The week before that, I was treated for an URI and the dr put me on antibiotics, a "z-pack". After finding the candida, the dr came in frantic and ordered that I have an HIV test because he had never seen this in anyone but aids patients. I was tested for HIV back in August, and the result was negative.
During the past 6 month I have chronic cough, tongue and back of the throat burning, throat candida infection, throat pain, a lot of throat congestion, severe splenic pain, fungal nail infection. I was absolutely healthy before the potencial exposure, I didn't go to the doctors for the past10 years...and now I can't get over it??? My doctor ordered nistatin 2 month ago which didn't help to treat my symptoms. They don't have anything alse as a treatment for me.
I got 2 negative elisa tests,one at about 11 weeks and the other at 20.i would be happy with this but i just havent been feeling healthy at all since my exposure.i have what seems to be pink eye that hasnt gone awy in months,confirmed thrush that hasnt gone since it appeared and my appetite isnt what it used to he at all.my legs and right knee is always sore.i can also feel sharp pains under my right rib as well.
Hello. Some of you may already know my story. I did the most stupidest thing in my life and now I am regretting it every second. I did cunnilingus to a women who worked in the adult entertainment industry whos HIV status I don't know. I also did vagina sex with a condom. I found her add again and I tried to reach her but her number no long works. I'm afraid she might have had HIV. I've been crying for the past 2 weeks because I am developing ARS symptoms or maybe its something else.
To confirm the presence of HIV infection, the most specific test would be testing for its antibodies with an ELISA test which is a screening test which looks for antibodies in the blood. The antibodies are usually produced within 1-3 months of the infection. Your need to consult your doctor for proper assessment. In the meantime you can try warm salt water gargles and betadine mouthwashes. Regards.
My obvious concerns are HIV, CVID (and the accuracy of the ELISA test), any differential diagnoses that come to mind. My girlfriend gave blood two weeks ago and I presume she is negative (she also gave blood in March 2009), and another possible exposure has tested negative this month (& outside 3 month window).
HIV? Cancer? Transient Immunodeficiency? Thanks for your help, I am scared to DEATH.
However I have been internet surfing too much I think and am still worried. Not sure what test was used, believe it was standard 3rd gen. antibody test I think.
Basically my questions are- Should I be worried about the "jock itch" which I have read normally doesn't affect genitals, so possible candida? Would that typically occur so early in onset such as ars? - Could this girl have simply had a yeast infection that I acquired?
Before recieving the results, I took an expired home test that came up positive. I took that to a specialist who saw the test, looked me over and gave me Atripla to start to be safe. She also sent me off for more tests, elisa and others. I also now took a PCR DNA thats not back yet. I went to a free clinic that gave me a rapid test that came up negative. I am wondering if four days now of Atripla could cause that to be negative?

I have unprotective oral sex on 2 june 2013,after that i have std screen for gonnorhea,syphilis,candida,and hsv 1/2 on 6 july 2013 then the result is negative for all test except igg for hsv 1 i got 2.41 (ELISA test)
The question,
1.is it too soon become positive for only a month for hsv 1?i have no sypmtoms at all
2.is there possibility a false positive for value 2.41 for hsv 1?i heard 1.1-3.5 consider as false positive??
3.what should i do next to get my herpes status??
Almost all lab-based HIV antibody tests, worldwide, are ELISA; certainly that's the case in Canada. And you are correct: HIV tests usually are positive within a week of onset of symptoms of ARS; this is additional evidence you didn't catch HIV and that something else explains your symptoms.
everyday i checked my body for symptoms several times i noticed that my lymph node in jaws are swollen i can feel my groin nodes also tender (i dont know how was it before ) i lost appettite , one day i noticed my mouth has thick saliva and exessive thirsty i shocked when i checked my tongue on the mirror it was white i checked about thrush on the internet and realised that i have thrush ( i did spit candida test myself it proved i have candida ) during all the days i noticed that i am bloatin
delayed.....after 6 months or after 3? I have a 4.5months Elisa blood test neg and ALL symptoms there. Still have the white tongue and look what sb answered to that problem:
"when the white stuff can be scraped off, it is thrush. thrush is caused by the fungus candida. this is very common even in the non-HIV population. people who have been on antibiotics and diabetics often get this. however, if the white stuff CAN NOT be scraped off and has a hard texture, this is called leukoplakia.
