I did a 28 day HIV test in December 2010, result was negative. Then I had a 5-1/2 months EIA (Elisa) tests, short of the reccommended 6 months and the result was also negative. But before those two tests, I was already taking allergy shots 2X a week that started September of 2010, two months before the encounter. Did my allergy shots affected my HIV test results? Is the negative conclusive inspite of the allergy shots I'm taking?
t sleep, eat, and i got swelling in my head sides it is like muscles attention (i hv it till now). i had Elisa test after 7 weeks from the exposure and was negative. then i did another one after 2 weeks from the previous and was negative with (0.6), after 3 weeks i did Elisa and pcr tests (Elisa was 0.12 and pcr negative), i took antibiotic 5 times during the first 3 months.
Well, if you find that your tongue is sensitive to these fruits, then it could be due to the pollen in them. Kiwi allergy is due to the birch pollen allergy. Orange allergy is also due to the allergy to orange rind. The only thing that can help you is avoid these food items. Is it that you are sensitive to fresh fruits or are you sensitive to food ingredients too as in sauces, jams , juices etc.

The penetration was protected and I received oral without which occurred mid march and I had a 3rd generation elisa test done after approx 3.5 weeks after the encounter.. Before this encounter I had protected encounter in February.. Can you please tell me how accurate my result is? Would I require further testing? My main only concern is receptive unprotected fellatio?
We just had all of our blood work done, and one of the men got an indeterminate result on his Elisa test. His Western blot and viral load were both negative. His partner also had a neg Elisa and WB; he has not had the viral load test done yet. Previous to this, both men have a history of negative results. From my understanding, both men practice safe sex with each other, and are monogomous in regards to high risk activities...
my doctor is said to me to give pcr-rt (quantitative) test? what is pcr? I am very worried.
There is a lot of new tests but elisa is just the type of test, there are 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation of elisas, and there continue to be a lot of research for new tests, the newest teste tend to be rapid test accurate as elsia tests, there has been also improvement also in the NAAT tests, and some labs are trying to come up with a new 5th generation rapid test (PCR+Antibody+p24) but is not ready yet.
My husband had positive elisa test with 3.45 value in august 2016 for hepatitis c. Then he got treatment aND it showed 0.85 value in January 2017. He got checked his hepatitis C by elisa test again two days back. It showed a value of 85.0. He's active n doing job. No cough or any other symptoms. He did it as just a routine checkup. Please guide if elisa test can be 85.0 ?? What should we do next? Much worried! !

About a week or so ago I needed to get a medical check for work. When I got my results back, I was shocked to be told that the Elisa test came back as HIV reactive at 1.52. They tested it twice. I really have no idea what that number stands for, though.
I don't have sex. No girlfriend. And I don't sleep with street workers. As far as I can remember, I have not come into contact with blood (except when killing mosquitoes).
hello, i had protected sex with an hiv positive girl (i just discovered), i had sex with her twice, but she gave me several oral sex, i saw some blood on my penis in one of them, from her mouth i think.. i have no symptoms untill now, i did Elisa test 52 days after 1st time and 20 days after last time and today it´s been 2 months since 1st time (the day i saw the blood) and 1 month after our last time.
Hi i Just wanted to know how accurate is ELISA third generation tests is,
my last sex was at 04/11/2010 i did the first test on 22/1/2011 the result wasELISA : HIV1&HIV2 NEGATIVE (0.15) i started to get worried of the number so i did a second test on 15/2/2011 just to make sure that i completed 3 monthes and the rsult came ELISA : HIV1&HIV2 NEGATIVE (0.33) i freeked out why that number is keeping rising !!
