I'm not sure maybe anxiety/depression I have a lot on my mind I just feel that the only sleep I get I just resting my eyes by keeping my eye lids shut and can't get into a deep sleep...
But the insomnia was miserable so I called my doctor to ask if there was anything I could do for the side effects, so he switched me to 3 wks of doxycycline, which I started taking immediately. Now I sleep OK but after two days the symptoms are back in full force. I'm wondering if I made a mistake in switching. Have others had similar experiences? Is doxy just slower to take effect?
My question is, would the increase in acid reflux and stomach pain be a likely side effect of the doxycycline. I know doxycycline can cause acid reflux or stomach pain right after you take it, but could it cause it many hours later? What about the itchy bumps on my arm? I know doxycycline can make your skin sensitive to light, so might that be a skin reaction caused by it?
I don't know if these are symptoms of a condition or side effects of some of my meds, so can someone help?
I take Norvasc, Altace, Lexapro, Crestor, AndroGel, Doxycycline Hyclate, and Advair 250/50. I have been on the first 4 for years. The last 3 have been added within the last several months. I also have Severe Sleep Apnea, but I use my APAP religiously. AHI is usually <4, but will on ocassion sneak up to 5.
It is day 17 now and I woke up this morning terrified to see my tongue and gums being covered by a whitish plaque. I trued to follow up with doxycycline side effects on the net, but for oral symptoms the information is patchy at best. I may have one small lymph swelling on my left neck (I believe), no fever, no sweats, no chills. Could this nevertheless be a symptom of ARS? Time-wise, it is possible, isn't it? Or is it just a side effect of over 10 days of taking doxycycline?

So today my Celexa dose was upped from half a pill to 1 whole pill and the side effects are coming back like when I first started... Sweaty, can't sleep, headache, stiff neck, clenching teeth... Etc. I don't know what to do. I tried taking stuff for it, including an Oxy but still no change. What can I take to make these side effects not so bad? I don't see the dr till Thursday, so I can't ask her... If anyone has any suggestions?
This is extremely variable. Some people feel side effects the evening that they inject. For others, the side effects don't show themselves until they've been undergoing treatment for weeks or months and the drugs have had a chance to build in their system. A lucky few never experience significant side effects at all. So it's hard to say. You might feel them early, late, or never at all.
I've never taken it, but these are side effects you can get from almost any antidepressant. I'd probably listen to your endocrinologist. But you have to taper off this med slowly, not just quit, if you decide to do that. One of the problems a lot of people have is taking drugs for their side effects. Trazadone isn't a sleep remedy, but it had the unwanted side effect of making people very sedated.
ll bet the infection was never culturd snd it may be entirely resistant to Doxycycline. Shortness of breath if NOT a side effect of Doxycycline.
THOUGHT I WAS GOING CRAZY BEFORE I FOUND YOU GUY. SIDE EFFECTS MUCH MORE THAN WE HAD BEEN LED TO BELIEVE.PERSONALLY HAVE THE BLURRY VISION, ENHANCED JOINT PAIN, SWEATS, AND SLEEP NOT GOOD. FINALLY SAW FEED BACK FROM THE COMMUNITY THAT VERIFIED OTHERS FEELING SAME. ANYONE FEELING ANYTHING ELSE ODD? PLEASE POST. ALSO HAVE BLOATING, IRRITABILITY. AND CONTRARY TO WHAT DOCTORS SAY, I'M ALWAYS CONSTIPATED.
