Avatar f tn Doxycycline is not related to amoxicillin and sulfa drugs as it belongs to a different category of drugs(tetracyclines).Side effects of doxycycline are headache, dizziness, blurred vision, body aches, flu symptoms, skin rashes, chest tightness, respiratory difficulty, nausea, vomiting etc. I strongly advise you to ask your daughter to stop taking doxycycline so that no life threatening anaphylaxis occurs.

Avatar f tn So today my Celexa dose was upped from half a pill to 1 whole pill and the side effects are coming back like when I first started... Sweaty, can't sleep, headache, stiff neck, clenching teeth... Etc. I don't know what to do. I tried taking stuff for it, including an Oxy but still no change. What can I take to make these side effects not so bad? I don't see the dr till Thursday, so I can't ask her... If anyone has any suggestions?
Avatar f tn I felt bloated during my IVF, but not nauseous. Did you check if these are listed as side effects on any of the meds? Either way, if you're worried about it, just call your RE's office. They'll let you know what's normal and what's not. By the way, if you continue to get more bloated as you take more of the follistim, make sure your doctor check you for hyperstimulation. He or she might cut down on your dose to avoid this. Best of luck with everything!
Avatar m tn I have not used the drug but don't read that vomiting and drooling are side effects. It dies take time and maybe dose adjustments before you notice a difference. The best thing you can do is call your Vet and ask these questions.
Avatar f tn Dear Jackie, I do not have this disease but, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, weight loss, abdominal pain, cough, diarrhea, sore and aching joints, and also change in mental status are all side effects that are extremely common. I’m sorry to say that I don't know much about the treatment for it other than the antibiotics... side effects can always be tricky and i really don't want to tell you to do something that might make it worse...
Avatar m tn My question is, would the increase in acid reflux and stomach pain be a likely side effect of the doxycycline. I know doxycycline can cause acid reflux or stomach pain right after you take it, but could it cause it many hours later? What about the itchy bumps on my arm? I know doxycycline can make your skin sensitive to light, so might that be a skin reaction caused by it?

Avatar f tn My wife in the 2nd week of her 6th chemo session of carboplatin, paclitaxel and avastin. Most of the side effects are predictable and have been increasing in severity over the sessions. For the last few days she has been subject to very painful occasions of bloating and severe intestinal gas pain. Don't find these in any of the listings of side effects other than "abdominal pain". Anyone know if this is a common side effect and what can be done about it.
