My question is, would the increase in acid reflux and stomach pain be a likely side effect of the doxycycline. I know doxycycline can cause acid reflux or stomach pain right after you take it, but could it cause it many hours later? What about the itchy bumps on my arm? I know doxycycline can make your skin sensitive to light, so might that be a skin reaction caused by it?

I taken antibiotics in the past and took me 1 full year to recover from stomach issues and side effects. I don't plan to suffer like that again.

Those sound like normal side effects of prednisone. Nasty drug but can save a dog's life. My golden has been taking 50mg daily for 2 months and the side effects are horrible.

A lot of skin problems are caused by Celiac disease. My sister didn't believe me that she needed to be tested for Celiac disease, but yep, she has it and going gluten free cleared up the skin problems she'd had since she was about 11. I had all sorts of skin problems too that improved immensely. I do like tea tree oil for healing skin breakouts.

Hi. I had the same issue with my skin. I couldnt touch the skin on my face throut tx. I was told NOT to sit in sun and honestly from being so weak I dont think I could have anyway. However I did get the sensitivity like you said when I touched by skin..it was very uncomfortable....There really isnt anything you can do about it. I had lots of sx that were just odd like feelings, sensations hot- cold and my face felt like I had a 3rd degree sunburn all the time.

Has anyone experienced side effects from this?? I have taken it before but the next day after I took it this time.. I started to get joint pain in knee and elbows real bad with some hand pain..

And I am even more sorry you are having an upset stomach. Common doxycycline side effects include an upset stomach and I was surprised to read that also fairly common is an unexplained rash. Of course a skin reaction to sunlight is also a side effect. You can take the medication with or without food. I was going to suggest hat you take it with milk but you cannot take it with milk or other dairy products, unless your doctor has told you to.

s office and asked about these symptoms, the nurse stated the doctor said these were not normal side effects. How do I get my Oncologist to see that I am having these problems and to treat them?

It is day 17 now and I woke up this morning terrified to see my tongue and gums being covered by a whitish plaque. I trued to follow up with doxycycline side effects on the net, but for oral symptoms the information is patchy at best. I may have one small lymph swelling on my left neck (I believe), no fever, no sweats, no chills. Could this nevertheless be a symptom of ARS? Time-wise, it is possible, isn't it? Or is it just a side effect of over 10 days of taking doxycycline? Please help!

It is not unusual for individuals to have side effects when they begin using a retinol product.
