Avatar n tn Those sound like normal side effects of prednisone. Nasty drug but can save a dog's life. My golden has been taking 50mg daily for 2 months and the side effects are horrible.
Avatar f tn This treatment has a high risk of psychiatric side effects, you need to find a doctor who is up to date on the treatment and side effects. Search the archives on this forum, its got lots of good discussions and information. Good luck.
Avatar m tn My question is, would the increase in acid reflux and stomach pain be a likely side effect of the doxycycline. I know doxycycline can cause acid reflux or stomach pain right after you take it, but could it cause it many hours later? What about the itchy bumps on my arm? I know doxycycline can make your skin sensitive to light, so might that be a skin reaction caused by it?
Avatar n tn I have been prescribed Acebutolol for PVC's and I am literally exhausted since beginning this medication but I didn't see that as one of the side effects. Also, my vision is blurred. Is this normal?
Avatar f tn Has anyone experienced side effects from this?? I have taken it before but the next day after I took it this time.. I started to get joint pain in knee and elbows real bad with some hand pain..
1711722 tn?1356487554 1. I have pre-existing Tendonitis and (because of some bad computer habits) it has flaired up again. Still, I was told that Hep C tx can cause certain injuries to "wake up" again. Has anyone had this happen? They said it could even wake up broken bone pain. Ouch! 2. I recently noticed a long groove/indention on my thumbnail. Check your nails and let me know if you have experienced this. 3. Emotional numbness. The anti-depressant is working.
Avatar f tn He was on top of transplant list but all 3 livers that became available were unacceptable. Treatment side effects are nothing compared to end stage liver disease so I am very motivated to get through this for my son and myself. I was able to work FT and care for an aging parent in 2005. She passed away in January of this year. I will miss her support but unfortunately will have more free time.

Avatar f tn I am pregant for more than 4 weeks, but I have taken Doxycycline Hyclate Tablets for 7 days during pregnancy. Now I am worried about the side effects on my baby. Can I keep pregnant or not?
Avatar f tn m not sure about those side effects but you can definitely google verapamil and it should explain all side effects... I had an allergic reaction to it so I had to stop it... Now I'm on something I can't pronounce or spell, so I would look it up or even talk to your doctor about it and see if there is something else that you can take maybe a calcium channeller vs the beta blocker...
Avatar m tn ll bet the infection was never culturd snd it may be entirely resistant to Doxycycline. Shortness of breath if NOT a side effect of Doxycycline.
4862508 tn?1360796307 I've been taking magnesium glycinate for over a year and haven't noticed any side effects. It's hard for me to see how chelated magnesium could cause cardiac pains, but maybe what you are experiencing is acid indigestion from the amino acid component. You could try magnesium oxide, but it tends to cause loose bowels. Regardless of how or why the magnesium taureate is causing your side effect symptoms, it sounds like it's not going to work well for you or your mom.
Avatar f tn Hi everyone, Exposure was late January early this year, ive had two other syphilis tests previous to the one I just tested positive for last week.. wondering how I have tested negative all the way till now. First test was right after exposure which I understand is not possible to test positive for right away. But the second was done about three months later around April and I was negative. The most recent one the doc said I was positive but I was also negative? So I'm kind of confused.
Avatar m tn Hi Doctors, I made a bonehead mistake and may have taken an extra dose of my 100mg Doxycycline treatment. To be more specific, on day 10 of the 14 days I'm scheduled to be taking the antibiotic I may have taken 3 pills instead of two. I also mistakenly missed one dose on day 5 of the treatment but was advised not to take a "make-up" dose for that by my doctor friend who proscribed the treatment (he's currently out of the country which is why I'm writing now).
Avatar f tn This is not a complete list of side effects and others may occur. Call your doctor for medical advice about side effects. You may report side effects to FDA at 1-800-FDA-1088. Doxycycline, like other tetracycline-class antibiotics, can cause fetal harm when administered to a pregnant woman.
Avatar m tn I don't know if these are symptoms of a condition or side effects of some of my meds, so can someone help? I take Norvasc, Altace, Lexapro, Crestor, AndroGel, Doxycycline Hyclate, and Advair 250/50. I have been on the first 4 for years. The last 3 have been added within the last several months. I also have Severe Sleep Apnea, but I use my APAP religiously. AHI is usually <4, but will on ocassion sneak up to 5.
1067423 tn?1267740670 My wife is having similar (but not as severe) side effects. She asked the Chemo nurse today and they said that this was quite a typical side effect of both Taxol and Oxaliplatin. If it is becoming too severe then you should check with your oncologist.
Avatar n tn All last week during my crazy symptoms, I was taking two a day 100 mg of doxycycline a day to clear up what I am sure was a form of either urinary infection of some form of chylamidia. After some research on the internet, I found that most cases have some pretty nausiating side effects, loss of appetite and all that fun stuff.. thats also backed from what I have heard from a lot of other soldiers around here.
