Hello, Doctor. I have a question. I enjoyed 21 days Doxybene (Doxycycline monohydrate ) for Mycoplasma pneumoniae, I finished ATB 5.9.2011 and 7.9.2011 I go for HIV test. Can Doxycycline make a false positive HIV test?
He is eating but very sick. I have some Doxycycline Monohydrate 100 mg. capsules and was wondering if this type of antibiotic is safe to administer to cats? I can not afford any vet at all right now, but I need to do something. If Doxycycline Monohydrate is not okay, is grape flavor liquid tylenol for infants?

Was diagnosed with syphilis 2 weeks ago and went on the 14 day, 2 pills per day of 100mg doxycycline monohydrate. All of my obvious skin sores and spots almost disappeared except one on my penis head gland close to the pee hole. This spot is still noticeable. With penal activity I can barely make out a little skin discoloration where the other affected areas were. The following are my questions.
1. My urologist suggested I take another 14 days of doxycycline monohydrate.
I got a rash on the back of my neck back in December. It got worse and spread. I was put different medications. The first med was Fluocinolone Acetonide Body Oil the end of December. It didn't work. The next script was for Doxycycline Monohydrate 100mg Tabs and Cetirizine 5mg Tablets for one month this was in January. That didn't work. Then they did a biopsy and said it was Eczema. I was told to use Triamcinolone 0.1% Ointment 454gm. This was end of January.
I had been having problems with frequent urination although this is something that has gone on since I was 15 and I went to the urologist last week where I was prescribed doxycycline monohydrate to clear up any urethritis that I may have had. I have a follow up visit beginning of next month. The doctor didn't observe anything abnormal during the examination.
On Sunday, while urinating I noticed some small bumps along the rim of my penis head.
My question is, would the increase in acid reflux and stomach pain be a likely side effect of the doxycycline. I know doxycycline can cause acid reflux or stomach pain right after you take it, but could it cause it many hours later? What about the itchy bumps on my arm? I know doxycycline can make your skin sensitive to light, so might that be a skin reaction caused by it?
so I was diagnosed with sinusitis on Thursday and was given Doxycycline monohydrate by my doctor. Monday morning I woke up with a low grade fever of 100.1 and a sore throat. Of course with all this virus hysteria I am fearing the worst. I have no other symptoms because nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, fluid in ears and of course the sore throat. Body temp has been between 98 and 99 degrees. any advice? Thank you!
Head tremors could be also a side-effect, as it is consistent with the possible side effects presented with the use of Singulaire, however, not directly listed itself as one, but rather linked to one ( seizures, dizziness, headaches, etc).
It should be reported to your prescribing Doctor immediately.
Please offer more details such as reasons for taking it and other symptoms.
There may be better options available.

I did not develop any other symptoms, and the burning completely subsided as of yesterday morning. I saw my doctor this morning and she prescribed me doxycycline monohydrate 100 mg twice a day for 10 days to clear up my chronic sinus infection. We'll see how it goes!
In case I had a yeast infection, he prescribed me doxycycline monohydrate as an antibiotic to take daily as well as Mupirocin ointment to apply to my penis to kill any fungus. Since then, I have been using both daily.
I also finally went to get tested for all possible STDs and nothing was detected. The scabs have healed and gone but my foreskin (not my penis) still tingles every now and then and often has a mild burning feeling.
What could be the cause of this, other than an STD?
I recently drank a pre-workout drink at my gym and then noticed that it said don't drink if you have thryoid disease. I didn't feel any side effects but I was wondering why I shouldn't be drinking it. I have very mild hypothyroidism. The ingredients in the drink are:
Arginine Alpha-Ketoglutarate, Creatine Monohydrate, Beta Alanine, Caffeine, 1,3-Dimethylamylamine (Geranium [Stem]), Schizandrol A
Could any of these ingredients cause harm?
Creatine is thought by some researchers to be harmful to the kidneys. You might be one of the lucky ones who have that problem. It also does affect how the body uses water, requiring that you drink more water than you would need otherwise. There's also no known dosage for it and no good studies on any long-term side effects mostly because most people who take it aren't taking it under medical treatment.
