dovonex

Avatar f tn Hi, I am really really concerned about a burn scar which I have on my left hand. I burned my hand with hot wax in a little area about a size of a quarter about 6 months ago. Now I have a white scar on that area. I've been to a dermatologist and they prescribed me Dovonex and Vectical ointment. I've been using Dovonex and now I'm using Vectical. The dermatologist told me I should keep putting the ointment on before I think of doing something else.
Avatar f tn I have been switched to Dovonex for the treatment of psoriasis, but experienced achey joints and hormonal fluctuations after prolonged use of Desonide (0.05%). I was wondering if this is just a coincidence (that I am just naturally predisposed to having thyroid problems) or if I misused the ointment.
Avatar n tn Ive been using nizoral shampoo every other day on the infected area and for the first 2 weeks was using lamisil or canensten cream (anitfungal). However the last doctor i went to prescribed me DOVONEX (calciptotriol). Ive done some research on what it is, and there is no link between Psoriasis(which is what dovonex is used for) and Pytriaisis Versicolor or even Tinea Versicolor, or any other fungal infections for that matter.
766574 tn?1238465473 does anyone know about any new medicine for psoriasis?beside dovonex, enbrel, humira.?
Avatar n tn My psoriasis lasted aorund 10 days on the genitals. Of course it did not go away without me putting Dovonex on it. Dovonex is not exactly highly recommended for the genital area but it cleared mine right up. I have also got those painless type lesions that crust over and go away within 2 weeks.
Avatar m tn Have you tried Dovonex, a vitamin D3 derivitive, on your elbows? Might be stronger than Elidel on that part of the body. Ointment is stronger than cream. Just be careful not to get it on your face so best to wear long sleeves after applying so you won't accidently touch. Also, as mentioned, Protopic -- very similar to Elidel -- is a bit stronger and sometimes works better than Elidel.
Avatar n tn Ask your pharmacist if he has generic 5% sodium chloride ophthalmic ointment. Muro or the generic ointment does not raise eye pressure. It is hypertonic saline, designed to pull fluid osmotically from the swollen cornea.
Avatar m tn About two months ago I was prescribed clotrimazole and betamethasone cream for a fungal infection or mild eczema. I used this cream for two weeks and then the determatoligist discontinued the use because it could cause skin stretching etc.... I then had re-check with the determatolgist and she said that she didn't think any stretching of the shaft skin occurred. Although i have noticed the shaft skin has become more loose and seems to roll up to the penis head as I sit down.

Avatar f tn He came home with OptiVet drops, antibiotic eye ointment, atropine ophthalmic ointment, and Rimadyl. He has not had the atropine ointment in about 48 hours and his pupil is still very dilated. Is this normal?
Avatar n tn or a reaction to all of the drops involved in the dual surgeries? The eye has been swollen shut after a gel tear product. a steroid ointment clears it up but the tearing returns after two to three days when discontinued. my eyelid is uncomfortable and tender and I am concerned about using a steroid this long - 5 months, I have also seen an allergist at their suggestion. the non steroidal ointment prescribed helps with the skin of my eyelid but not the tearing.
Avatar f tn She had an eye infection that she was on cephalexin and antibiotic opthalmic ointment for. She has been off the oral antibiotics for over a week now but still has eye ointment applied 3 times daily. She started getting a slight head tilt which at first I thought was due to the lack of sight in her bad eye as it has severe scarring to the cornea. But after a few days she has also developed an eye twitch to both eyes. She still eats very well and plays with her littermates.
Avatar m tn Ketoconazole is an anti-fungal agent and not an anti-itch, though it may be available commercially in combination with an anti-itch ointment. The concentration of the medication in ointements is usually low and does not cause skin irritation. It can be safely applied to sensitive areas if prescribed by your treating doctor. However the use should be discontinued, if any kind of adverse reaction occurs. Hope the information is helpful. Take care!
Avatar n tn Although this type of skin problem is very difficult to treat, but you can try Elidel cream or Protropic ointment on these hypopigmented areas. But use them after a dermatologist’s guidance. If the symptoms still persist then you can talk to your dermatologist about laser-assisted chemabrasion(LACA).It has provided excellent results in such hypopigmentation. I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries. Kind regards.
Avatar m tn Yes. Usually but I have taken care of a steroid responding man that had elevated IOP for almost a year.
Avatar f tn I have a sore on my tongue that's been there awhile. The ear nose & throat doctor said it is irritation & hard to heal. I'm taking Lysine tablets 500 mg 3xs daily. Just started .I have seen L-Lysine ointment by basic organics. People use it for core sores & ulcers on the inside of lip. Would it be safe to dab a small amount on my tongue to help battle this condition faster. It is painful & very frustrating.
Avatar f tn My dog has weepy eyes again & we have a tube of otocomb*otic ointment that I'm pretty sure we used last time. Does that sound right? I want to make sure they it'd the right tube.
Avatar f tn I'm really wanting 3d Doritos and a rain element drink. Does anyone remember those?
5538989 tn?1514398453 ( I am going to request the oral medication - does anyone have any thoughts they would like to share regarding it? Since it is still so new, I realize the track record is still unproven; but I'm willing to take the chance. I am nervous but optimistic. I hope you are all doing well, thanks again for your time and friendships. They mean the world to me!
Avatar f tn My doctor tells me that OxyContin is going to be discontinued. Does anyone know anything about this? I have been on Oxy for about 3 years now and have never felt the need to increase the dose that helps my neck and back pain. I am on 10 mg twice a day, but I cut back to half a pill morning and night (so a total of 10 mg once a day now) and just withdrawing from that was hellish (i know, its a low dose but everyone is different).
520292 tn?1232035850 I have treid all the regular stuff, dovonex, clobetasol, olux e , all the topicals! It just does not work for me, anybody have any other suggestions??
Avatar n tn Hello, my six month old son was born with ILVEN. It starts on the back of his shoulder and goes down his arm to the crease of his arm. We have been going to a pediatric dermatologist since we first noticed it. They did a biopsy and it came back as ILVEN. His dermatologist prescribed dovonex and a steroid cream I apply twice daily. I have been doing this for 3 months now and I don't see any change at all. Our next appointment is in another 3 months to check it.
