Ive been using nizoral shampoo every other day on the infected area and for the first 2 weeks was using lamisil or canensten cream (anitfungal). However the last doctor i went to prescribed me DOVONEX (calciptotriol). Ive done some research on what it is, and there is no link between Psoriasis(which is what dovonex is used for) and Pytriaisis Versicolor or even Tinea Versicolor, or any other fungal infections for that matter.

I use econazole cream - and it works great. No messy Selsen nights for me. I use the cream on the spots and around the surrounding area for at least 5-7 days (once or twice a day depending on how bad). It can be a pain if it is all over your back for instance - but dilligence and consistent use of the cream will kill it fast. This last time I only did it for 3-4 days and it covered most of my back. It's gone and the tanning bed has returned my skin to normal in a few sessions.
Hello, my six month old son was born with ILVEN. It starts on the back of his shoulder and goes down his arm to the crease of his arm. We have been going to a pediatric dermatologist since we first noticed it. They did a biopsy and it came back as ILVEN. His dermatologist prescribed dovonex and a steroid cream I apply twice daily. I have been doing this for 3 months now and I don't see any change at all. Our next appointment is in another 3 months to check it.

I have been on betamethasone, desonide, dovonex (for a year) and, now, clobetasol (once a day). I will be undergoing phototherapy in a month.

I found out a rash on parts of my chest and abdomen is tinea versicolor (spelling?). The dermatologist prescribed Ketoconazole cream. Anyone know if that is safe to use with Lyme Disease.? I looked online but found only mentions of the pill.
I have been switched to Dovonex for the treatment of psoriasis, but experienced achey joints and hormonal fluctuations after prolonged use of Desonide (0.05%). I was wondering if this is just a coincidence (that I am just naturally predisposed to having thyroid problems) or if I misused the ointment.

Took valtrex for years, almost 100% complete remission. I started taking the generic last June. Since taking the generic, i have had a few typical obs in the last yr. Hi, I think you may have Lichen Simplex Chronicus or Lichen Planus, if you google chronic itching you will find more information. These are related to having Pruritis in people with hepatitis C. Usually we have an underlying skin itch, not exactly pinpointed, and we scratch, sometimes from this scratching or rubbing we create a 'chronic' itch, then we end up with the scabs and scars etc.
Do NOT take this pill while pregnant. I used to get yeast infections chronically and was told I was NOT allowed to while pregnant. You can however use Monistat cream inserts from the store.

I got a hemorrhoidal thrombus just outside my anus, the typical little black-purple vein, that i'm treating with a cream the doctor suggested me. The thing that's bothering me is a generic sensation of disconfort and silent little pain in the pubic area, like if it's affecting my pudendal and piriformis muscles. I had this sensation in the past after heavy training, squats and gym excersises, but now i feel it more.
Is this disconfort caused by hemorrhoids?
m really relieved because I have hope now. The dermatologist I went to gave me Dovonex and Vectical cream. They are caleciterol creams (contain heavy amounts of vitamin D). I didn't put it on as much because I keep losing patience (lol). But I want to know if you think my burn scar will go away with ginger juice and vitam D. And how about the gel from vitamin D capsules??
are fungal infections cureable with drugs? is there an over the counter fix? i have it on my testicles. crusty hairs and itching. please help me KILL IT!!
