13495566 tn?1431029924 Does anybody have the package insert that comes with HARVONI- section 8.7 -says not proven to help cirrhosis. That is one of my denial reasons--I don't know if it says that. Trying to find out.
Avatar n tn Ive been using nizoral shampoo every other day on the infected area and for the first 2 weeks was using lamisil or canensten cream (anitfungal). However the last doctor i went to prescribed me DOVONEX (calciptotriol). Ive done some research on what it is, and there is no link between Psoriasis(which is what dovonex is used for) and Pytriaisis Versicolor or even Tinea Versicolor, or any other fungal infections for that matter.
766574 tn?1238465473 does anyone know about any new medicine for psoriasis?beside dovonex, enbrel, humira.?
Avatar m tn My dermatologist suggested it to determine if my mole was just an irritation or a skin cancer. After reading the package insert and doing some research online I was to scared to try it. If it is recommended to me again I am wondering if I should use it. Thanks!
Avatar f tn Did the prescribing doctor know you are pregnant? They are usually pretty good about making sure what they prescribe for a woman is safe when pregnant. It's pregnancy category B which means no danger they've found to human pregnancies. They've tested it on mice and they have risks. So, that's in their package insert to be careful with it. I would call your doctor about it if you are concerned!
Avatar f tn One medicine which has been advised by many dermatologists for scar diminishing is contractubex gel/cream. You can seek your dermatologist/surgeon’s opinion before using this cream. Otherwise you can go in for glycolic peals, laser treatments and pressure dressings. Severe scarrings may need skin grafting by a plastic surgeon. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar n tn My psoriasis lasted aorund 10 days on the genitals. Of course it did not go away without me putting Dovonex on it. Dovonex is not exactly highly recommended for the genital area but it cleared mine right up. I have also got those painless type lesions that crust over and go away within 2 weeks.
Avatar f tn It is indicated for yeast and not harmful during pregnancy based on research and the package insert. I took it without issue and it worked great. Worth talking to your own doctor about. Most likely they will prescribe it without issue as it is again, given commonly during pregnancy.
1145751 tn?1262133453 Ok so I got these Prometrium capsules and it states on the package insert that these capsules are oral capsule. My OB's direction is to insert it vaginally as a suppository. Im concerned because the capsules outside gel is pretty thick. I just dont want to keep shoving these things in me and it not dissolve. Has anyone used oral capsules as suppository?
Avatar f tn All medications come with something called a 'package insert' which has labeling that includes any risks. Did you tell your doctor that you are expecting? I would just call the office to be safe and tell them you are pregnant and want to know if the antibiotic prescribed for you is safe during pregnancy.
Avatar n tn I do have the insert at home. It said if there were NO lines it was inconclusive, but nothing about a line in the circle and nothing in the oval. The way it reads, for it to be positive, there should be a line in each opening. I will be taking another one tonight, hoping it is more conclusive. thanx!
Avatar f tn Yes, I read the insert. So your saying that its accurate rite?
Avatar n tn They all come with a patient package insert that explains it. If your pack no longer has that insert, you can ask your pharmacist. Most require you to use them for 7 days before considering yourself safely protected.
Avatar f tn Has anyone used progesterone cream ordered from the internet? We've decided to put off seeking fetility counciling at the present time, but my tests showed a really low progesterone level (1.9 on CD 23) so I've been doing some research and I have alot a symptoms that go along with progesterone deficiency and am thinking about ordering progesterone cream to try and correct this issue. Just wondering if anyone else has tried this.
Avatar m tn my son has severe plaque psoriasis. he is on medicare and dovonex is not covered. What other medicine can he use and is there any financial assistance.?
Avatar m tn These are not listed on the package insert, but I note from Dailymed.com Viread did cause fever in clinical trials (i.e., Truvada is a combo of Viread and Emtriva).
Avatar m tn I would look up the package insert online because they are all available online. That's what any doctor or pharmacist would be looking at if you asked them.
Avatar f tn Your chances are slim to none of being pregnant. Taking plan will cause disruptions in your cycle, it says skin the package insert. Taking it on top of all the other meds you're taking will surely disrupt your cycle even more. I wouldn't think twice about it. I'd be more concerned that the plan B messed with your thyroid levels or caused some issue with the effectiveness of your PCOS meds because that is much more likely.
Avatar f tn I am worried that it will cause a blood clot but he said no worries even though I had them before due to an injury. I am not going to take the full dose. Also the package insert says it is a 3% chance of a clot over about 10 years. So, I think that is pretty low. But the package insert says not to use it if you had blood clots before. So I may ask the doctor again just to make sure before I use it.
Avatar n tn I use econazole cream - and it works great. No messy Selsen nights for me. I use the cream on the spots and around the surrounding area for at least 5-7 days (once or twice a day depending on how bad). It can be a pain if it is all over your back for instance - but dilligence and consistent use of the cream will kill it fast. This last time I only did it for 3-4 days and it covered most of my back. It's gone and the tanning bed has returned my skin to normal in a few sessions.
Avatar f tn The package insert says not to use for extended amounts of time unless otherwise prescribed by your physician. "Don't use Melacare Cream for extended time or more often than prescribed as it may disrupt in creation of your own natural adrenal corticoid hormones in the body." I have searched completely and cannot find any other relevant information about stopping it's usage. You should ask your doctor or pharmacist, as they have books that give them complete descriptions.
Avatar n tn As far as the package insert, there is no indication that this would be in any way harmful to a fetus. I would not be concerned.
Avatar m tn I haven't used detartrine myself but according to the package insert, the 150 RDA does not erode enamel and there is no contraindication for use in sensitivity patients. The only contraindication is allergy to the material. Try using some sensitivity toothpaste to see if it helps.
Avatar f tn My understanding is that betapace or sotalol cannot be substituted for the AF version but the AF versioin can be subbed for the non AF version because the package insert does have everything that the AF package insert has plus the A-fib information
Avatar n tn Hello, my six month old son was born with ILVEN. It starts on the back of his shoulder and goes down his arm to the crease of his arm. We have been going to a pediatric dermatologist since we first noticed it. They did a biopsy and it came back as ILVEN. His dermatologist prescribed dovonex and a steroid cream I apply twice daily. I have been doing this for 3 months now and I don't see any change at all. Our next appointment is in another 3 months to check it.
