doryx sinus infection

Hello, I planned on getting STD tested in a few weeks but just completed a ZPACK (azithromycin) for a sinus infection and my dermatologist has put me on 100 mg doryx (doxycycline) for acne. Other then the HIV test should I go ahead and get tested for gono, syph, chla? The reason I ask is that from what I am reading on this forum, often times those antibiotics would clear up those infections. Thank you. This has been a very helpful and informative forum.

I'm experiencing the same problem. had very thick coarse and pretty hair. Now it's becoming thin stringy and nappy. I am freaking out big time and really sad. my dermatologist put me on desonex that didnt work so then he prescribed me keflex 500mg 3x daily and considering i had come off a couple of nasty infections by which i was already taking antibiotics (z-pack for sinus infection and doryx for some MRSA) by GP wanted me to lay off the antibiotics for a while. So as such do i take the keflex for my ingrown/foculitis whatever it is? Ive seen "ethnic" depilatory creams for african american men in cvs can i try that (im white)?

I am 32 years old and have been prescribed Doryx and a topical acne medication for slight facial and back acne. I have been taking the medication 5-6 weeks and for the past week or so I am noticying hair loss. (roughly double the normal amount of hair I would loose in a day.) My hair is noticably thinning. Could this be a side effect of the medication I am taking? Has anyone else experienced this? On a side note, my skin is now completely clear.

I decided to self medicate with 150 mg Doryx twice a day that I had at the house. Been taking for about six days now. The discomfort just started to go away today on the sixth day. I started taking Doryx 250 mg as prescribed by me derm around oct 16...the first week was fine but then I noticed the 2nd week I was losing double the amount of hair in the shower. These weren't even new hairs, but complete long strands were falling off and i've never experience that before. I nearly had a heart attack! I've currently been off the medication for almost a month now and the im still losing more hair than I used to.

Ok guys I have a sinus infection. I called the on call dr and they said to take Tylenol cold and flu. I am a little skeptical to take the Meds cause of some of the ingridents. However my temp keeps fluctuating from 98-100 and I know I need to keep my temp down.

I went to the doctor a few days ago, he gave to do x ray. It turned out that i have sinus infection. He gave me antibiotics. Will antibiotics (twice a day for 7 days) help to make the infection go? Why did i get sinus infection? I am a 22 years old healthy male.

Hello ladies. I'm 35+4 with a sinus infection. When I went to the clinic earlier today I didn't have a fever, but now I have had a low grade temp. I took pain meds like they told me to help with the sinus pressure pain and if I get a fever and so far it is controlling it, but when will my fever be harmful to my baby? I started with a bloody nose maybe in middle of Feburary. I felt a little congested but not bad. By the end of Feb I broke out with the worst sinus infection in my life! I was draining everywhere. Dunno about the sinus infection, but anything with ginger in it is fantastic for the morning sickness, I used to go around with a pack of ginger nut biscuitsin my handbag, just one little nibble with stop it instantly, you could also try ginger tea :-)
