I am 32 years old and have been prescribed Doryx and a topical acne medication for slight facial and back acne. I have been taking the medication 5-6 weeks and for the past week or so I am noticying hair loss. (roughly double the normal amount of hair I would loose in a day.) My hair is noticably thinning. Could this be a side effect of the medication I am taking? Has anyone else experienced this? On a side note, my skin is now completely clear.
I decided to self medicate with 150 mg Doryx twice a day that I had at the house. Been taking for about six days now. The discomfort just started to go away today on the sixth day. Here are my questions:
1.What are my chances that I caught something and what?
2. Could I have gave it to my wife?
3. Will the Doryx clear up anything I could have caught?
4. How long should I keep taking it?

I started taking Doryx 250 mg as prescribed by me derm around oct 16...the first week was fine but then I noticed the 2nd week I was losing double the amount of hair in the shower. These weren't even new hairs, but complete long strands were falling off and i've never experience that before. I nearly had a heart attack! I've currently been off the medication for almost a month now and the im still losing more hair than I used to.

I had a hysterectomy 21 years ago with removal of ovaries. For the last 4 years, I've used bioidentical hormone pellets. These pellets are implanted under the skin of my hip. I get estrogen and testosterone. Estrogen for hot flashes, night sweats, dry skin, anxiety. moodiness. Testosterone for my sex drive. Prior to the pellets, I was on estrogen and managed those symptoms. For 16 years, I had little sex drive.
I have been managed with testosterone pellets implanted every four months since age 58. I recently had my thyroid removed and am balancing the Synthroid doses to TSH. The surgery was at a low for pellets. Are there really any issues with t4 binding proteins,regulation of thyroid function, and testosterone pellets? I have tried the creams and they too just made me itch. There is more to bioidentical hormones than creams, gels and patches. They also come in pellets that are implanted by a doctor under the skin on your hip.
I'm 54 with a total hysterectomy 20 years ago. I've been through the gamut of hrt. I moved to AZ and in finding a new gyn, found a doctor going through menopause. She does bioidentical hormone pellets (and has them herself). They are implanted in my hip and last 3-4 months.
when i was seven 5 to 6 years ago i put some lead pellets in my mouth i didnt eat any i they weren't in my mouth very long i read the warning label then spit them all out as fast as i could then spit in the sink like 5 times washed my mouth out and went on with my day the warning label says lead pellets contain a chemical known to the state of California to cause cancer and birth defects do nit inhale dust or put pellets in mouth!

Hi, I am concerned about the shape of my stool. It is thin pencil shaped pellets. Its been like that for a couple of years now.
I have a problem of loose stool a few times a day since 12 years. It was bothersome but i wasn't in pain and the shape of stool was fine (when not loose). A couple of years ago, i developed yet another problem. I started getting cramps with sudden urgency to go. The cramps would subside after the bowel movement.

I've been prescribed Keflex, Bactrim, and now Doryx. Still won't go away. I don't go out anymore because of this condition. I don't know what I would do if I met a really cool girl. Oh wait, I'd probably just walk right past her and look the other way, even if she tried to talk to me. This condition is so embarrassing. I've taken about 16/30 of the Doryx medication (Qty. is 30) The marks don't seem to be going away.
I've been pooping yellow pellets about an inch long. I've been taking 10 in One from GBG, and one of it's "side" effects is that it gets rid of fat. Perhaps this is the cause. but, I need an answer here, because I'm freaking out!
So was mine for 16 years after my hysterectomy. You can get it back with Testosterone and estrogen. I did and it's better than ever! I believe in quality of life and my quality of life is incredible once I added the Testosterone to the estrogen.

Now I want and enjoy sex more than ever in my life!
I've been taking natural progesterone (Progon B pellets,by Bezwecken) for the last 10 months and I've also tried their cream. For myself, I found that the pellets, which I let completely dissolve under my tongue works alot better than the cream to increase my progesterone levels. I've never had any side effects from this product and will continue to take it two weeks out of every month. God Bless.
