doryx how long to work

Please help someone if you know anything? How devastating as a woman to have to go through this. If losing hair was listed as a side effect (like it should be), I would not have taken this. Clearly it's no coincidence. One more major question I have for you is when does this get out of my system and when will the hair loss/ itchiness stop? Is this scarring(permanent) hair loss or will it grow back!??

ve currently been off the medication for almost a month now and the im still losing more hair than I used to. Can anyone tell me whether this is going to stop anytime soon or what the heck is going on. I know this isn't stated in the side effects, and when I talked to my derm he completely dismissed it stating he's never had a case with doryx and hair loss, but after searching the internet and this forum I can see im not the only one!!

s looks like there is no solution to this hair loss, does anyone know how long the medication takes to get out of your system? The dermatologist did offer me cortisone injections in the bald spot area, that could cause a indention in my head just great smh.. I'm debating if i want to try that and have a dent in my head but i really want my hair back asap..

I am getting tired already tho and having back/ hip pain so hoping I can last that long at work. Work as long as I your body will let you.

I was prescribed the same treatment that had worked so well before (minus the Doryx) but of course it didnt work one bit this time. I was then prescribed Differin and Finacea..no results Abt two months ago, I was prescribed Solodyn, I use neutrogena creamy wash, Retin-A and some hydroquinone for the dark spots. The solodyn make me break out in a HEAP of HIVES !! so I stopped taking it about 3 weeks ago and now I have been prescribe Bactrim?

"i have a test in a month and a half to make sure I am negative" I hope you are---- but remember ALL tests (whether from Igenex or another, even less reliable lab) can give a negative test when the opposite is true. I never had a positive WB from Igenex yet was it was proven I did have Lyme by a lumbar punch (which I wouldn't advise getting).

Also more recently I feel a pressure between the anus and testes and it hurts to sit for long periods. Most likely I am in need of an ultrasound of the testes and another STD test, but according to my doctor I have no symptoms of the chlamydia, as there is no discharge or burning during urination, PLUS I have taken two courses of antibiotics to kill any bacteria. I do have an appointment with my GP tomorrow and I will update if he makes any immediate diagnoses.

Oh my gosh, how frightening! I am new to hypothyroidism so I don't know the answer to your question, but since you have lupus, have you run this situation by your rheumie? Are the two docs exchanging info to best get all of this under control? I hope you begin to feel better soon. Good luck!

I should have said how long will it for the symtoms to begin to go away?

I am wondering how long it takes Fludrocortisone to work. I have been taking 1/2 of a .1 mg tablet twice a day for a couple of weeks. My BP has not gone up at all and I don't feel any better. I have already gained a few pounds quickly and am trying to decide whether to go up on it. My dr. said I could.

There is good logic in taking a child off the pill to see how they cope. There are many kids with ADHD that have learned how to cope and can go off medication. Of course, it all depends on how severely they are affected, and how old they are, what their needs are, etc. The main thing is that the children have to be trained how to cope. Just taking them off to see what happens is not helping them too much. Even though adderall is out of the system fairly quickly.

I worked 40+ hrs a wk from when my daughter was 5 wks old and on, she is now 5. She is definitely a mommy's girl. It's ok to work full time as long as the time you spend with your little one is quality time. She is always my lil helper with anything i do, so that makes us closer and shows her responsibility.

Depends really on how you're feeling. I would take 3weeks off before my due date and probably the 2-3 weeks after.

my dermatologist put me on desonex that didnt work so then he prescribed me keflex 500mg 3x daily and considering i had come off a couple of nasty infections by which i was already taking antibiotics (z-pack for sinus infection and doryx for some MRSA) by GP wanted me to lay off the antibiotics for a while. So as such do i take the keflex for my ingrown/foculitis whatever it is? Ive seen "ethnic" depilatory creams for african american men in cvs can i try that (im white)?

Doryx is easier on the stomach than generic doxy. Its release is slower too. VERY EXPENSIVE!
