my dermatologist put me on desonex that didnt work so then he prescribed me keflex 500mg 3x daily and considering i had come off a couple of nasty infections by which i was already taking antibiotics (z-pack for sinus infection and doryx for some MRSA) by GP wanted me to lay off the antibiotics for a while. So as such do i take the keflex for my ingrown/foculitis whatever it is? Ive seen "ethnic" depilatory creams for african american men in cvs can i try that (im white)?

I was diagnosed with the same thing and mine wasn't all that noticeable. I had about 6-8 little dots/zits around my mouth and lips. Most people said it looked like I just had a couple zits, but I knew it was something more since I don't get zits like this, especially on my lips. My dermatologist had me put an oitment in my nostrils twice a day for 7 days (which sucked) and I'm on Doryx or doxycycline at 150mg for 30 days. I'm two weeks in and it's almost undetectable.

I am 32 years old and have been prescribed Doryx and a topical acne medication for slight facial and back acne. Hello, Staph infection and MRSA can be transmitted by close contactlike skin contact or through inhaled air. MRSA stands for methicillin resistant Staph aureus. It is a bacteria rather than a disease. Those who have MRSA are at risk of transmitting it to someone else.It is possible to have staph or MRSA infection through sex(fluids) only if you have an unbroken skin or through inhaled air. My husband and I have dealt with nearly 20 MRSA infections in the past two years. He was in the hospital and had a fifth of his lung removed at one point. He just went to a new doctor, and this one gave him Doxycycline and Prednisone. (Antibiotic and Steroids.) Since steroids suppress immune system functions, I think that's completely backwards. They were prescribed for the MRSA. Have you ever heard of sterioids prescribed to help with MRSA treatment?

Now as for the Staph infection or possibly MRSA. that is more serious really. Did they give you antibiotics for it? Try to not scratch it and keep your hands away as much as possible until it is gone as it can spread. Keep underwear, clothes and towels washed and separate. They may be testing the bug for resistance and may change your antibiotic if it turns out not to be MRSA but regular senstive staph methicillin sensitive staph aureus. (MSSA).

On to my question..so is MRSA curable? If the bacteria shows sensitivity to an antibiotic is the antibiotic more likely to kill the germ? my baby had swabs and has been given anti biotics which is a nasal gel and a body wash... It is for mrsa... does that mean he will have re occurring mrsa forever or is it just that he has some of the bodies that are found in mrsa on him? Any advice please? Also surely if he has mrsa here is a high chance like myself and partner now also have it?

I guess I am desperate I am a mother of a 6 month old baby boy and my husband has a 4 year old from a previous relationship until now we had no idea where she and his son were she met another man and was happy until now, now she has contacted my husband to say he can see him mainly becuase she can not cope. mrsa is a highly contagious issue(MOST healthy people will not get it, but bacteria can be strange on its own)....i worked in a nursing home a few years ago, and remember several of the residents getting it at once, and they had to be quarantined...she should NOT get any more piercings, at least till they find why she keeps getting this.....when she does this, she runs a high risk of transferring it to others...this disease is very easily spread through touch, even though it's not airborne..
