Should we contact an attorney because I have been depressed and lost my self confidence, using the Doryx has cost me thousands of dollars in hair products and wigs to try to grow my hair back and look normal and I am afraid to go to another dermatologist, What do we do? Maybe we should start a class act lawsuit, because This is serious and I would have never used this product had I known, There should be a warning on the bottle.

These weren't even new hairs, but complete long strands were falling off and i've never experience that before. I nearly had a heart attack! A few years ago I had a horrible case of acne and was put on the Doryx pill for 3 weeks, wash with Brevoxyl 2x day, morning Tazorac topical and evening Duac topical. This combination cleared up all of my acne and dark spots in a month !!! So after two months I weened myself off of the topicals. Everything was fine.
About 2 years later, I had another bad breakout. I have really oily skin, lots of white and blackheads and acne scarring (dark spots) resulted from these pimples.
I've been prescribed Keflex, Bactrim, and now Doryx. Still won't go away. I don't go out anymore because of this condition. I don't know what I would do if I met a really cool girl. Oh wait, I'd probably just walk right past her and look the other way, even if she tried to talk to me. This condition is so embarrassing. I've taken about 16/30 of the Doryx medication (Qty. is 30) The marks don't seem to be going away.

I planned on getting STD tested in a few weeks but just completed a ZPACK (azithromycin) for a sinus infection and my dermatologist has put me on 100 mg doryx (doxycycline) for acne. Other then the HIV test should I go ahead and get tested for gono, syph, chla? The reason I ask is that from what I am reading on this forum, often times those antibiotics would clear up those infections.

The doctor deemed it as a possible UTI and I was on a regimen of Doryx 150mg qd X 14d. I abstained from any sex for the duration of treatment. The burning had long subsided and I engaged in intercourse with my partner, who 2 days later found out she tested positive for chlamydia. I had been off of the Doryx for about a week when I found this out and went straight back to the doctor to receive treatment for chlamydia infection. I was treated this time with doxycycline 100mg bid X 7d.
I am a firm believer in Masturbation, 20 years ago I had a very severe bout of Prostatitis, I was on an antibiotic called Doryx for about nine months, my doctor sent me to a Urologist for a finger in the rectum exam, at that stage my prostate was not in real good condition.
(Note) I am also taking an antibiotic from my Dermatologist since March (Doryx) for my acne, and I remember the medicine causing somewhat stomach uneasiness, so is that maybe the cause?

I'm not sure why, but lately my penis has been having a fishy odor. I am not sexually active, I'm 19 years old, and I clean it regularly. I shower every day and make sure it is well-washed with soap and water, but it still smells that way after cleaning. There is no rash or irritation at all. It is not semen or pre-ejaculatory fluid related. It always smells this way for the past week now.
Doryx is easier on the stomach than generic doxy. Its release is slower too. VERY EXPENSIVE!
i only go to the pharmacy and ask for the best medicine and they give me a generic medicine name doxylag. after 3 days the intense itching is lost. i take doryx for 1month now. and now i feel a little itching in the skin of my pubic hair.

2) After my 1month cycle of doxycycline im now free in any disease?

Not sure if I am able d/t high FSH. didn't get result for AMH as of yet. But if its not possible for me to have one biologically we are considering using DE. My question. hello again, thanks to all the people that responded. was wondering about the cost of meds. interferon and ribavirin, im checking with my ins. to see what they will cover. i may have misspoke about this thing on hepititusccure.net i dont think it is herbal? it deals with fatty liver tissue. but its only 50 bucks to read about it so i dont really have anything to lose. going back to doc in 3 mo. not sure why till i decide on tx. if tx takes care of virus, do people go back to normal lifestyle?
The difference between the full cost of a treatment (which the uninsured often are charged), and the amount the insurance company tells them they will pay is often quite a bit. If you have cash and offer to pay up front (for a discount) you may get charged less than what they can get out of the insurance company, because it's less hassle and instant money for them.
Just a thought, even if you had to borrow the money.

Anyways, the rep told me that ribavarin only comes in 200mg and a 3 months supply would cost me $10.00 co-pay. The peg/interferon would be a 30.00 co-pay for a month. This was the pharmacy and member service that said that. Does this seem right? I always thought tx was expensive like in the thousand of dollars. I have Kaiser but I don't have the deluxe plan or anything just the basic.
