I performed oral sex on my wife about a week after but there has been no other sexual contact with her. I decided to self medicate with 150 mg Doryx twice a day that I had at the house. Been taking for about six days now. The discomfort just started to go away today on the sixth day. Here are my questions: 1.What are my chances that I caught something and what? 2. Could I have gave it to my wife? 3. Will the Doryx clear up anything I could have caught? 4. How long should I keep taking it?

I started taking Doryx 250 mg as prescribed by me derm around oct 16...the first week was fine but then I noticed the 2nd week I was losing double the amount of hair in the shower. These weren't even new hairs, but complete long strands were falling off and i've never experience that before. I nearly had a heart attack! I've currently been off the medication for almost a month now and the im still losing more hair than I used to.

Hello, I planned on getting STD tested in a few weeks but just completed a ZPACK (azithromycin) for a sinus infection and my dermatologist has put me on 100 mg doryx (doxycycline) for acne. Other then the HIV test should I go ahead and get tested for gono, syph, chla? The reason I ask is that from what I am reading on this forum, often times those antibiotics would clear up those infections. Thank you. This has been a very helpful and informative forum.

I'm experiencing the same problem. had very thick coarse and pretty hair. Now it's becoming thin stringy and nappy. I am freaking out big time and really sad. nortriptylene, however, they were not good for concentration! I noticed that other people take higher doses of Wellbutrin150 mg in the morning and 150 mg evening! I tried Wellbutrin awhile back and they certainly didn't make me tired in fact it was the opposite! That is why I am wondering if I am on too low a dose, although you say it maybe too high! I am definitely going to try them at night ... makes sense if I am tired after I take one..and start feeling better early evening!

I currently take 150 mcg of generic synthroid. I asked Dr for Armour. She gave me a script for 90 mg and instructed me to take one tablet a day. I haven't picked it up yet but this seems odd based on what I have read about this medication. I'm concerned I might turn my life upside down if Its dosed wrong. Any suggestions? Should I take a half of it twice a day? Thanks...

I've been prescribed Keflex, Bactrim, and now Doryx. Still won't go away. I don't go out anymore because of this condition. I don't know what I would do if I met a really cool girl. Oh wait, I'd probably just walk right past her and look the other way, even if she tried to talk to me. This condition is so embarrassing. I've taken about 16/30 of the Doryx medication (Qty. is 30) The marks don't seem to be going away.

After that for the next month I am to take just the 100 mg. tablet for one month. Next a 50mg and a 25. for 75 mg. Each month going down 25 mg. Best of luck with this, slow is the way to go.

same lyk ur prb..... 1yr has been passed and trying alot... My dr give m ghocophage 500 and dhuphaston . now she is giving m clomid to help fertilty... but last month didnt see good follicle. so this month inshallah she ll give m injections gland f. and reallly gain weight making m ugly.....

Did you wrote 0.15 mg? 0.15 mg is the same as 150 mcg, so the Dr. increased (150 mcg to 175) . He changed your medication for some reason, Did your TSH changed? new symptoms?

My doc said 150 mg are fine! You can call and ask since every doctor is different but the list I have said its fine.

What's the difference? I think I take 150 ml of methadone and I thought it was mg?

Like you i am on Wellbutrin 150 mg amd 20mg of Prozac i do well on both have been for 2 yrs now. The prozac makes me tired i tried no prozac and 1 wellbutrin in the morning and 1 in the afternoon. i was on the 100mgs only for 2 yrs..then it made my heart rate jump..to 150 at rest..then they put me on25 mg x4 still did it..im now on lithem doing great on it..you better keep a eye on ur sugar..mine increased on the serquil BUT MAN IT DID HELP SLEEP GOOD!!!..
