diflucan for skin fungus

What is the usual dosage for treatment of toenail fungus with Diflucan? My doctor prescribed it to me and it just seems to be different than normal. He said to take 100 mg/daily for the first 10 days of each month until it's gone. Is that a normal regimen?

I visited the dermo (skin) dr. She said it was kinda ezcema+ fungus. I applied the given cream (Travocort, Elomet) but it didn't help much. It now spread the whole labium and my inner labium is itchy and painful. Once getting wet/hot, the skin of whole labium and the skin between labium and inner thighs are terribly red. I was given different antifungal cream and didn't work at all. Later, the urethra and vaginal are infected.

So I had a terrible breakout on my entire penis shaft that was extremenly itchy and red. It began to flake and produce bumps along the rash that looked like poison ivy (without the fluid). Also I get sunshine on the skin when I can. I also take magnesium and vitamin D capsules. There are other rashes, including from fungus or yeast, and those can be treated with tea tree oil.

Thank you for your remarks, Dr. Santos. I am finishing a 2 week treatment of Diflucan, and the white stuff does not seem to want to go away. I have discovered that I can brush all of it off with my toothbrush at night, and in the morning there is none there. It seems to accumulate when I eat only, so I try to brush after I eat, which is not always feasible. The fact that this stuff hasn't changed an ounce since using Nystatin or Diflucan, makes me think this is not candida.

After the 5 days of Acyclovir the Doc put me on 200mg Diflucan once a week for 4 weeks and Chlotrimazole cream. The Diflucan sovled the pressure sensation in the pelvis region but I still have the itching sensation at the tip of my penis (urethra). I have no pain or burning when urinating, however when I need to urinate I feel the ithcing sensation in my urethra get way worse, but it subsides after I urinate.

I had requested a prescription of Nystatin 1 million units and Diflucan 200mg for some skin fungus. I only took the meds for 1 month. If you ask me, fluocinonide is a waste of time. It temporarily gives you relief of inflammation (although it doesn't even do THAT for me, but it thins skin which causes its own problems, so you can onlyuse if for short term. What they prescribe it for are always chronic conditons, so how stupid is that? On top of that, if there is any fungal problem, it encourages fungus. Doh! Ring worm is a fungus, and to cure it of the scalp, you need oral form of antifungal, which is Diflucan.

I was treated with Diflucan for my very first yeast infection ever, I took the pill last Thursday. I actually didn't even know i had one until a seen the doc for painful intercourse ( i had no smell, discharge..etc). Should I make a follow up appointment?
