Avatar m tn They appear like round , inflammed regions on the skin. They itch a lot, and when I scratch them, small white scabs appear like dead skin. I have uploaded an image. I have been on an antifungal treatment for two months, but it was of noo benefit. Any help would be appreciated.
Avatar f tn How many times have you taken it, and has it helped at all. Best to ask for a definitive test for fungus if not improving, but please follow-up with your doctor to discuss your concerns as there may still be some other tests to ensure it is fungus.
Avatar m tn It is safe for you to take the Fluconazole. You may see some improvement in a day or two, but do not taken another dose of Fluconazole until well after a week if you still have any problems. Follow the directions that are on the information leaflet that comes with the medication. As a home remedy you can also, after washing and drying gently, you can apply natural set yogurt. Don't have any sex until you are well healed. Best wishes.
3655860 tn?1347810128 I was the one caring for her at the time. Could it be that fungus.? I have dogs but i never hug them i just sometimes play with them and they have no signs of fungus or anything. They have been to the vet before and they checked out perfectly. It has moved down around my thighs and I've noticed new small dots forming around my around, ribs and knees. I am going to see the doctor tomorrow but i need advice for peace of mind.
Avatar n tn Hi doctor,I have jock itch type fungus for last one year, tried fluconazole but it again came back...then tried itraconazole 200 mg a day with topical clotrimazole, it completely dissappered, but after 15 days it came back. Did this course thrice but it comes back every time. Tried terbinafine also but dint work much.
Avatar f tn thanks for your answer but if i had fungus woldnt the lotrimon or the fluconazole would cleared them by now?
Avatar m tn 5 years. Many doctors, I tried same medications, also antibiotics, fluconazole for yeast infections, yoghourt. Believe me nothing worked and the over use of the creams was making my skin very thin. The last doctors I went said I suffered from balanitis and recommended me to circumsice my penis. I thought for a long time, but I ended up doing it and that was the best thing I ever done because the irritation clear it instantly.
Avatar m tn Also I get sunshine on the skin when I can. I also take magnesium and vitamin D capsules. There are other rashes, including from fungus or yeast, and those can be treated with tea tree oil.
Avatar f tn I've taken Clindamycin and fluconazole to kill a yeast infection. But now my doctor tells me I might possibly get it back because antibiotics can cause yeast infections. I'm not even sure...
Avatar m tn I'm really not sure how this started but I have a couple of theories. Before I get into the theories I'll give you the background on my condition. I've had ongoing athelete's foot fugus for as long as I can remember. I've used Tanactin foot spray and gold bond powder to get rid of it but eventually it always comes back. A few months ago I had gotten what I think was a really bad case of jock itch.
Avatar f tn I'm pretty confident this is caused by fungus/mould. Just wondering if anyone has tried any strong antifungals, itraconazole for instance?
Avatar f tn You can try Terbinafine (Lamisil) cream. This is usually used for athletes foot. But this is for the surface skin not inside the folds or in or near the vagina. So if this doesn't work you may need to see a doctor for this.
Avatar n tn Topical treatment: When fungus affects the skin of the body or the groin, many antifungal creams can clear the condition in two weeks or so. Examples of such preparations include those that contain clotrimazole (Cruex cream, Desenex cream, Lotrimin cream, lotion, and solution), miconazole (Monistat-Derm cream), ketoconazole (Nizoral cream); and terbinafine (Lamisil cream and solution).
Avatar n tn I did take a pill of Fluconazole and all the creams listed above. What is next? Can the fungus or yeast be in my blood stream? Can a man passed a yeast infection to a healthy woman? Thank you always for your answers.
483814 tn?1214311480 I've heard of people having luck with various tree oils, eucalyptus (Vicks vapor rub), tea tree, etc. I have had toenail fungus for years, and found most doctors won't prescribe Lamisil even if you have a normal liver. I tried to get it before my diagnosis and no luck. Now a friend of mine went through the same thing and was able to convince his doctor's partner to write the prescription.
Avatar m tn When you wash, do not use any soaps or shower gels, this changes the pH level on the skin and makes the yeast fungus get out of hand. If you have a very sugary diet or take antibiotics, that too can make the yeast fungus get out of hand. Wash your clothes using a non-biological washing detergent and a fabric softener suitable for sensitive skin. Don't wear tight clothing and only wear cotton underwear.
Avatar m tn ), saw a GP, he looked at it and prescribed one tablet of fluconazole 150 and Lotrisone cream for 14 days, it cleared it well.. On the 11/Sep/09 I was prescribed Ciprofloxacin for another infection (urine analysis showed bacteria), during which I developed what seemed like slight thrush on the middle of my tongue (still have it, didn’t get any worst).
Avatar n tn Hi, I'm 32 yrs old and a mother of two. The youngest is 14months. I know that I'm supposed to have hairloss after birth, but I noticed that it was turning into patches of baldness. I've tried to better my diet and when doing a bit of research, found that one of the side effects of taking fluconazole was hair loss. I've immediately stop taking this and want to know if my hairloss situation should get better.
