Avatar f tn Has anyone ever taken fluconazole? It's a tablet you take (only one) for yeast infection. My pharmacist said it's not for pregnant women but when I called the doc and told him what the pharmacist said he said it was ok to take. Has anyone else been prescribed this? I'm worried.
Avatar m tn They appear like round , inflammed regions on the skin. They itch a lot, and when I scratch them, small white scabs appear like dead skin. I have uploaded an image. I have been on an antifungal treatment for two months, but it was of noo benefit. Any help would be appreciated.
Avatar m tn My sincere advice would be to get a wood lamp examination, KOH examination and fungal culture of the skin scrapings and a biopsy of the effected skin done to confirm the diagnosis. Biopsy skin should confirm the cause. Hope that this information helps and hope that you get better soon. Wishing you good health.
Avatar m tn Then I began to notice redness of the foreskin, occasional red blotches on the penis head (very temporary), and skin flaking away (moist under the foreskin, dry on the outside). I would get occasional irritation in my urethra, not really pain, more of a pinch. On nights when I was aroused during sleep (sweet dreams :) I would notice the foreskin worse the next day. This would also happen if I masturbated and didn't practice good hygiene.

Avatar m tn t use soaps and shower gels to wash in that area because it dries the skin and changes the pH level of the skin. You need to keep the area clean, use an antifungal cream and also a moisturiser in between times. Don't wear tight clothing. Cotton underwear is best. Try not to scratch the itchy area, this will aggravate the skin even more, cause the bleeding and also thicken the skin. You can also bathe in warm water with a couple of handfuls of oats.
Avatar f tn she recommend spot corrector for the dark spots around the light skin. and an oral glutathione to bring my skin tone even again. I asked her if it's psoriasis she said a big and loud NO! (i saw on google something about inverse psoriasis, it kinda look like that, only mine is kinda white skin not pinkish or red) My concern now is, is she right it's not vitiligo? photo link below. 2nd is, is it not psoriasis?

Avatar f tn For about 2 - 2 1/2 years now I've had this brownish skin discoloration under my breasts, inner thighs next to pelvic area, small spot under arm and small spots on the back of my neck. The inner thighs and breasts is where it began. It started as small spots like dime size then filled out into large areas. It stays a light brown color and has a faint smell under my breasts. If I get hot and sweaty, sometimes it will get bright red, burn, itch and tingle.

Avatar n tn Hello, I have had a yeast infection on and off for about three months. I went to my doctor three months ago and was prescribed medicine. One day after my appointment I noticed a few slightly raised bumps on the very inside of my vagina. After messing with them they became more raised, like skin tags. They have remained the same for 3 months (I haven't slept with anyone other than my boyfriend).

Avatar f tn This comes in capsule form that you can also buy from the pharmacy without prescription. There is Fluconazole 150mg that is a single dose oral capsule and Fluconazole 50mg that comes in a pack of 7 which one capsule is taken daily for the 7 days. If you are sexually active, it would be a good idea to get checked out for any STD and also have your blood tested for diabetes.
Avatar n tn I also have bumps that are fleshed colored and appear to be under the skin. These symptoms have been occurring for some time now and I've been tested for std's and they turned out negative. And my pap smears came up normal. I'm currently being treated with fluconazole (oral). Do I have an infection or disease? How do I get rid of these bumps? Are they related to a yeast infection?
Avatar m tn The symptoms started with a retraction of the testicles (in that the sac was ALWAYS scrunched up), and the skin was leathery, red, and I experienced a tingling / prickling sensation when walking. I contacted my dermatologist who once again prescribed me 2% Ketoconazole cream, which I applied for another 7-8 weeks until instructed to stop. The day after I stopped treatment, symptoms returned full force. Everything got red, on the testicles and the penis.
Avatar m tn I wash and dry my penis well, I've never had this issue, it's not dry skin, I am fungus andSTD free (have been tested) and I'm not sexually active and I do not use harsh chemicals or soaps in that area that may cause an irritation so what's going on with my penis? it itches and there's this smegma (but it obviously isn't) type stuff when i scratch or rub the head. white and doughy. like i said, i've never had this and i'm a clean guy in all senses and it itches.
Avatar m tn The itching is only in one of butt cheeks, and only a small area alone near the hairy section no bumps, just a rough skin on very close examination. The itching mostly occur at night.Have read a lot in the net,am just wondering what this could be?somebody with similar problem?

Avatar f tn t feel any discomfort whats or ever, however prior to taking the fluconazole i felt the skin was extra dry, it would randomly crack in different parts of the glans, and the panic would begin as i tried to go through my day. I took pictures just now but can't figure out how to post them. Any advice or tips would be GREATLY appreciated.
Avatar m tn You can try any of the topical antifungals like topical clotrimazole, topical nystatin, fluconazole or topical ketoconazole. Also keep the skin dry and wear cotton undergarments. If the symptoms persist then pls consult a dermatologist as oral antifungals may be needed. I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
