I went thru this painful bleeding rash on my arms and legs for years..ugh its just awful. Went to every skin Dr and they were stumped..well I just had thyroid surgery to remmove toxic nodule and half my thyroid...guess what? The rash is finally clearing up all by it self now! Yaaaaay! Tell you Dr about it and insist you get your thyroid treated..myself I recomend the surgery over the radiation. A litter more painful but much safer esp for those of us with thyroid rash!
the diflucan has helped immensely and cleared it up completely. the HSV culture hasn't come backk yet though. Since diflucan worked, can I rule out herpes?
ve had for 2 months (this is my 3rd antibiotic in the last 2 months) and I have developed a very red rash starting right below the opening of my vagina, the skin beside it(kinda the start of my ver inner butt cheek), all the way up to my anus. The rash is itchy and sore (esp on my anus). It looks like a severe diaper rash. I've seen this type of rash on a friends child who had an external yeast infection. Is this possible that this is what I have?
i saw the dr and he told me it was probably another prostate infection, possibly some urethritis, and a yeast infection! ARRGG!! he gave me more cipro and some diflucan. i took them both (1 diflucan) and took cipro for 10 days. symptoms in testicles and prostate felt better, but urethra was still hurting and uncomfortable mostly at night. my penis skin peeled like crazy, and the bumps got mostly better.

Add a probiotic and cut back on sugar and processed flour foods and beer to get your body back to normal so you don't keep growing this stuff. Take some antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin and apply some calamine lotion on the rash. Also wear cotton clothes and keep the skin sweat free. If the symptoms persist then please get it examined from a dermatologist.

I've been in considerable pain the past nearly 4 weeks now so I thought I would upload my question here. Its the first time I've used a site like this but looking for possible answers or a guide in the right direction. [I'll try to provide background and details of symptoms to current]
On the 16th of January I was sexually assaulted while in America by a man orally and anal. I'm a 24 year old gay male and have normally very good health.
The next day she complained of pain when urinating and a rash. Her OBGYN diagnosed UTI and/or Yeast. 2 weeks later i woke up to a slimy sticky skin where my penis and scrotum were somewhat stuck together. I separated them and there was a small dry black ulcer where the penis and scrotum were together. I went to a urologist who thought it was yeast but gave me an ELISA IGG HSV test (neg for 1&2).
A few days latter I began to develop an irritating sensation and minor rash in my inner thigh where my scrotum and legs meet on both sides. I notice red area and what looks like white bumps under many of my pubic hairs where the hair comes out of the leg. I went to the doctors and right away he said I had a bad fungal infection which was similar to a bad diaper rash.
I have recently developed little itchy bumps only on the palms of both hands and the bottom of both feet in the arch area. I can see them under the skin and when I scratch them they pop open and have water inside. If I scratch an area more will surface. I've never had this before. Can it be an allergy to something? Stress? My Dr. gave me a steroid cream to use at night with gloves and it's not working.
A couple of thoughts. First, the recovering gland infection or whatever it was might itch a bit before it finally heals, which could take months. If it's tolerable, you can just wait it out. Second, all that washing may be leading to a skin rash. There's not much you can do about the first, but if it's a rash you could try apply lotion or even a topical antibiotic cream. Good luck.
ive taken diflucan, antibiotics, and dermatitus cream and nothing does nothing, i havent a clue what it is, and heres the good part... it seems to have gotten all over my body and affected different organs and parts. ive always been a healthy kid eating only organic produce and natural daily vitamins. but since then, a bunch of me has been acting really weird and im sure its this "thing".
If it it not completely cleared up by Monday I will return to the doctor again and see if there is anything stronger than diflucan and gynelotrimin they can give me. Given the fact that the symptoms greatly reduce with antifungals, it seems like a fungus is the problem. Although I am not diabetic and am HIV-negative, I do have a lifelong vulnerability to fungal infections. I come down with things like ringworm very easily.

I had been glucose intolerant for many years and since being put on Metformin and having the appropriate antifungal spray (yes Canesan does come in a small spray bottle) and a spray emollient to keep the skin moist, my skin issues are much improved and under control. I had been on antifungal medications for over 6 months (doctor prescriptions).
If you do sweat a lot it may be worth getting Odaban that stops the excessive sweating in the area that is bothersome.
