Hi. I was sick with a sore throat and green phlegmn (probably sinus) and was put on augmentin antibiotics. 24 hours before my antibiotic course was over, I noticed irritation and itching next to my clitoral area, in lips of labia. It developed into a swollen lump then developed a head; drained and is shrinking. Now, 72 hours after my antibiotic, I have white patches on my throat. I notice irritation down there in a new spot with itching and redness. I expect a lump to form.
Could this cause a yeast infection so bad that Diflucan is not working? I now have to go to a specialist. Im a hypochondriac but I just wan to know what's wrong with me already! Please help! If this infact just yeast why won't it go away!? And how will the specialists get it to go away since the the Diflucan isn't working. I've also taken flagyl which says no trich and no vaganoisis please help?
I just finished a round of Augmentin for a sinus infection! Which I'm sure is the culprit. Also I use softsoap body wash. My husband and I haven't had sex since before the symptoms started. Thanks for all the info guys!
I just got off a 14 day low dose amoxicilian for a sinus infection, the very next day i got a UTI and was placed back on amox for another ten days. The reason i opt for amox is because it seems to be the easiest on my stomach. Ok, so after being on the first course i started having symptoms in my stomach, and now that i am back on it for the second day, i am woken up by shakes and sweating, then chills .. and extremely restless. Also i feel very TOXIC.
I took antibiotics the week before for Christmas for a sinus infection and had to take diflucan because I thought I was developing a yeast infection on the antibiotics. I started feeling better and then last week I started itching agajn and noticed red bumps appearing on my Labia and they started to become a little tender. I did two more rounds of diflucan this past week. I even had a full STD panel done and it was all negative. I had the same panel done in Sept and the numbers are the same.
I also had to start taking another round of antibiotics this week for a sinus infection (Augmentin 500mg). As of now, my vagina feels very dry, almost raw. I am also having some white discharge (not like cottage cheese) and a white light layer all over the inside of my vagina; it looks like tiny white clumps inside on my labia. I went to Planned Parenthood after I noticed what seemed to be a tear or scratch in my inner labia majora alongside the clitoris.

Everytime we have sex I get irritable and land up with an yeast infection. I have this unbareable itch. It has ruined my sex life. I really will like to get to the bottom of this issue in my life so I can have a sex life with my husband. Please help me. So far all the gyn doctors I've went to are not helping me.
So I've had a yeast infection since I found out I was pregnant. My doctor finally gave me a prescription to get diflucan. But my insurance want pay for it because they he said it is a risk for the baby. Has this happened to anyone else? Or have you taken diflucan and everything turned out fine? He diagnosed it as a yeast infection, which I contracted from a partner that had one but was unaware of it at the time. I was on Augmentin (antibiotic) for a foot infection about a month ago and then soon started developing stomach cramps. I figured the cramps were related to what was wrong with my penis. The doctor said the antibiotics killed off the good AND bad bacteria in my stomach leaving me vulnerable to contracting this yeast infection, even on my penis head.

since then i have been to my gyno who cultured my yeast infection and said best medication for it was diflucan, so he also prescribed me to diflucan for 7 days-never went away. then he again prescribed me diflucan 150 once for 3 weeks. never went away!!!

I have a yeast infection from taking Suprax for a UTI. Doctor gave me 2 doses of diflucan to be taken 3 days apart. I took the 2nd pill tonight. The discomfort was still bad so they had me add Monistat and Vagisil on day 2 after my first pill. The Monistat made me sting so badly and itch even more, that I used Vagisil extra strength 20% benzocaine probably 7 times (small amounts less than 1 inch) today. (Is that dangerous?)
The itching has kept me awake all night.

I dont know if anyone can help me or give me some suggestions, but back in December I had a yeast infection and the doctor prescribed me terconazole vaginal cream...before she had always given me the diflucan pill and it went away right away. however, this time she gave me the cream and i used it for the 7days like she said and didnt have sex w my bf at all. after the 7th day of using the terconazole cream my bf and i had sex w a condom.
I went back to the doctor, he gave me diflucan, She also got diflucan. After three days on the diflucan, her symptoms were gone and mine were 90% gone. I then began to apply a diluted vinegar solution. The symptoms were gone for a few days, including the redness, but then they came back. Not as bad as before, but still there.
At that point he screened for claymidia and gonnorea, and gave me the zpac. I continued diflucan and vinegar, with the sympmtoms almost, but not quite, vanishing again.
Anyway, I have a tingling, itchy, and burning sensation in the vagina at this time. I took a diflucan yeast infection pill and the symptoms still haven’t cleared. No bumps or blisters or anything of that nature. The guy I had unprotected sex with was rubbing his penis in my vulva area which I thought was odd because no man has done that before.
