Avatar f tn i have extremely oily skin and i think its because i use my acne medications such as differin and duac but even though i wash my face 3 times a daii it is still oily and its worse during parties because i cant wash my face then..? wat should i doo..any herbal remedies as well?
Avatar n tn For my sensitive skin prone to breakouts I use Effaclar H (not the regular Effaclar) by La Roche-Posay. It is for oily skin which becomes fragile due to over-drying skincare. It can be quite hard to find, I usually order it online. I also like Estee Lauder's Sparkling Clean Cleanser which purifies oily skin without stripping or over-drying. I can tolerate the prescription acne gel Differin (adapalene 0.1%) ask your doctor about this.
1632818 tn?1299941302 I clarified that my problem was that my skin was sensitive, sore and feels like its burning after washing, and asked if differin would dry out my skin. She said that while it helped my "acne" it would also help with my eczma and that I should leave it on overnight. She said I should try to stop using my moisturiser too and just use the sunscreen, as this with the differin would be enough. I put my fears aside and trusted her and followed her advice.
Avatar m tn Washing does little to seem to stop the oil production and in many cases makes things seem to get even more oily with irritation. Are there medications that can help reduce oily skin?
Avatar m tn To provide some context, this all started after seeking treatment for mild acne (whiteheads on my forehead and extremely oily skin) about 3 years ago. The dermatologist I saw then prescribed Ziana gel, which worked relatively well (never completely cleared the whitehead problem, though it helped).
Avatar n tn Hi Dr. Rockoff I am a 26 year old guy who has experiecned acne for half my life, probably even more. I went on accutane 3 times, ages 15, 17 and 20. After that I have tried proactiv and every medication a dermatologist could imagine. Nothing besides accutane ever worked. At this point, I don't see myself growing out of it. I went to get a facial last week and the aesthetician said that I don't have oily skin and that what I have is not acne but ingrown hairs.
Avatar f tn Ok so I have been prescribed differin gel for "acne" problems. I recently had a huge one with deep cyst (when i touch it i can feel hardness under the skin)...then it formed a white head and oozed a lot of pus (and some blood) after which it stopped being painful. My question is can I still keep on applying differin gel on top of the acne even though it's "broken" skin? The differin seems to help calm the inflammation pretty quick and dry it out...
Avatar f tn I'm 35 weeks am I the only 1 who has VERY OILY SKIN .. I Never had oily skin until I got pregnant && little white bumps on my face .. ?? If so tell me what do you use .. So ready to go to the derm.
Avatar n tn When in the light I notice that on these patches there seems to be a top layer of thin skin. The Differin has subsided my breakouts nicely, but I am still left with these very noticeable red spots all over my face and I am absolutely freaking out. There appears to be no indentation so I would hope this wouldn't be permanent. Is it normal to have such a reaction and if so, how can I help this heal, and how long will it probably take?
Avatar m tn s embedded deep within the skin, has no visible head, is shiny but not overly-oily, and the only way I can ever get it to open to relieve pressure is by stabbing a (sterilized) needle a few millimeters into my flesh until I "break through," in which case a mix of blood and oil will come out only to eventually seal up and become pressurized again, usually with blood being visibly trapped under the skin.
Avatar f tn We have tried over the counter products containing benzoyl peroxide and/or salicyclic acid, and sulfur. They seem to have made his acne worse. He does not have oily skin, and the pimples are just red - they do not seem to be puss-filled. I have tried products from 3-6 weeks before discontinuing. Am I giving them long enough? Are there any natural, home remedies I could try while I am waiting for him to see a dermatologist (in one month)? THANK YOU!
Avatar f tn Second baby was a boy. Had no greasy hair nor oily skin. My third was a boy and had no greasy hair nor oily skin. Im thinking im having a girl because her hormones and mine are raging. I feel so ugly. Ive never had greasy hair nor oily skin or acne when I was a teenager or pregnant except with my first girl. I dont know what to use. My face is sensitive already so I use minimal product. I also usually have beautiful natural skin so I dont use makeup except a little bronze.
Avatar f tn Mine was totally fine until I started my third trimester....now it's extremely oily and I have patches of flaky skin that are raw red itchy and very oily....does anyone have some clue as to what causes this and what will make it go away!!??
Avatar f tn What can i use for oily skin & some.breakouts..
470885 tn?1326329037 yes my skin is changing bad i normally have oily skin but now i have very bad oily skin and i break out bad zits like crazy the many joys of pregnancy
Avatar f tn Also the moisturizer may seem unnecessary if your skin is already oily but if your skin is not getting the moisture it needs, your body tells your oil producing skin cells to work overtime and produce more, therefore causing oily skin. So giving your skin proper moisture will actually cause your skin to have to produce less oils making your skin not as oily. Now that goes for your hair too.
Avatar f tn Certain muscle cramps are caused by acidity. That's why calcium & magnesium help. Do you have rectal itch or burning eyes or ears? If so, you are overly acidic. Take plant based calcium & magnesium malate. Excess Sun exposure produces excess D3 . The D3 strips calcium from muscles and that's why you wake up with severe cramps. Shower right after being in the sun. Take extra calcium if in the sun and throughout the day and before bed. Cut back on phosphates.
