Avatar m tn Pet health insurance until she turns 7, when most will no longer insure a dog, then a regular large amount of money set aside for vet care, more each year as she gets older and more things go wrong. Since my service dog would be a big dog, the costs would be higher. Back in 1990, that total was $2,000 a year. Many people cannot afford the dog(s) they own. That's not fair to the dog at all. Now, for your puppy, there may be some help on this list here. But before the list, she needs help.
Avatar n tn They tested me for diabetes, using the OGTT, and my results were negative. I was given a glucose meter to monitor my sugar levels though, and since then, have not had any low readings. However, the road to recovery is slow, with immobilization for 6-8 weeks, followed by extensive physiotherapy for several weeks. Please discuss with your doctor. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you.
163305 tn?1333672171 Comparing pharmaceutical treatments to lifestyle or integrated approaches to health is even more dangerous, lest we find that lifestyle treatment for heart disease and diabetes which cost our health care system $750 billion a year works better and costs less than drugs and surgery and has good side effects such as improved quality of life. Unfortunately, in our health care system, business trumps science every time. Such confusion is not accidental but intentional.

Your only reaping the benefits of preventative care, better care and other provisions put forth under this law. I really hope they go the extra mile and educate people about how this works.
