dandruff and ears

Hello all, For the past 8 yrs I having severe issues with my ears and around the ears with itchy, crusty, flaky and weeping ears sometimes bleeding. I also have severe dandruff issue.Initially the dermatologist though the dandruff has spread near the ears. As days passed I noticed that when wearing some ear rings I am getting severe itch at the end of the day and then it gets a delayed allergic reaction. Steorid creams helped in the beginning.

You can also take vit B6 and vit A and E which are good for hair and skin. Try medicated shampoos for dandruff. There are a number of over-the-counter shampoos available that can help. The most effective ingredients -- antimicrobials -- to look for are zinc pyridinethione, selenium sulfide, sulfur and ketoconazole (also available by prescription). If your hair is colored, don't use products with selenium sulfide or sulfur.

The first doctor prescribed a steroid cream and told me to wash my hair with dandruff shampoo and put a little of the suds in my ears and on my groin. The steroid cream worked for a couple of weeks and then stopped. A few years later a second doctor gave me samples of an anti-fungal cream and told me to use it. That did nothing. So basically I've been itching non-stop and clawing my body up pretty good for 15 years.

I have a quarter sized red inflamation on my scalp right at the top of my forehead. It itches and stings a little. But i've always had really bad dry scalp and dandruff. Also I noticed that my lymph nodes. (the ones behind my ears and at my jaw line are swollen. Its like raised bruises. I get red spot all over my face in my mustache bridge of nose sides of nose eyebrows and ears. They get really flaky and i pick at them if i don't people can see it and when i pick at it it leaves a red spot. My ears are the worst the inside of my ear is always really flaky all the time. I pick at it and it comes right back.

Hi, you have the exact symptoms I have now, the scaby neck and behind the ears, the scabby itchy ears and the pin pricks on the end of my finger which looks like splinters but isn't. Did you find out what this was!? Or has anyone else had the same??

Swollen lymph nodes behind your ears could be due to chest infection, tonsillitis or pharyngitis, dandruff, infection of ear or even metastasis from a cancer. I have very very itchy spots all over my body(except my back) that on my hands and arms and legs resemble bug bites and on my thighs and near my groin i have a few rash type areas that remind me of poison ivy.there are also a few bumps and sores on my groin. I never was a person that could help from itching, and when i had chicken pox, athletes foot and lice, i itched until i scraped skin off.

I saw this tea tree oil and pine oild anti dandruff shampoo and use it but still itch. I dont know what shampoo to use anymore. I felt my scalp itch, poking sensasation and burning.
