Hi there I would go to gp blood in saliva could be due to chest infection,coughing too much thus bursting tiny vessels in throat(not serious) if you have severe gastric disorder it could be coming from gastric is the blood bright red? If so this is prob due to strain from coughing,is the blood brown in colour if so this is old blood and should be checked out ASAP are you on medications that could be making gums bleed thus leaving slight blood in your salvia.

My doctor stated there was a mild decrease in flow in the back but not in the front. He stated he wanted to refer me to a headache specialist to rule out anything else, although my headaches spund like chiari. He said Chiari is not black and white that he operated on an 18 year old with a much larger herniation but no headaches. I will get the actual report but this is where I stand now. So i just want some advice, im 32weeks and i have had a cough for litilary 4months now, it just wont go some days its so bad i cant breatg from.having a coughing fit and i have even wet myself a few time which was so embarrasing considering im on 19, ive been to the docotor several times n they just say oh its a cough you will be fine but i know this cough isnt normal whats could it be? Im worried it may be effecting my baby.
t stop coughing and my chest hurt so bad, I went in to the ER. After a breathing treatment, steroid, Strong IV anti-biotic, blood work and a Cat Scan the Docs said it was pneumonia. They wanted to keep me but I have 4 kids at home to care for so they sent me home with a steroid, inhaler and cough meds and told me to finish the z-pak. I finished the z-pak about a week ago and still don't feel better.
I have been using Combivent for about a month together with Asmanex to treat my cough-variant asthma and have had pretty good results. However, the first inhalation of Combivent always triggers a major coughing spell (sometimes it's so severe I almost vomit or my ribs hurt). Are there other bronchodilators that might be easier to inhale and still be effective? Or would using a nebulizer help? I've heard there can be adverse side effects with a nebulizer.
My goodness I think we have experienced almost parallel experiences. My son is 4 came home from school coughing, turned into a coughing spasm, took him to the hospital, they gave him a nebulizer treatment & diagnosed w/ an ear infect. treated w/ anti-b. Then a week later, vomiting non stop, and 3 days feeling better, now white poop! Did you ever find out what it was?

The other causes for long term cough besides asthma are GERD and post nasal drip from allergies. GERD is gastro esophageal reflux disease where the stomach acids come back into the esophagus and spill into the wind pipe causing cough. Treatment with antacids will help neutralize the acids. Post nasal drips can occur with sinusitis and throat infections. Giving up cigarettes will abolish smoker's cough in 90% of people.

I was diagnosed with vitreous detachment, but the optometrist said it would resolve itself in time. I think what caused it was the constant, forceful coughing I did during a recent bout with bronchitis, (??). It has been 6 months, at least and I see no relief. I can't wear my contacts because the lens in the right eye (the one with the problem) only magnifies the blurring.
Do u take the beneadryl at night or when have u found best time to take it

Long time no see! Well after a lengthy insurance battle, I was finally approved for 12 wks of Harvoni w/ Riba- not 24 wks of just Harvoni as my Dr. wanted. Whatever, I'll take it! My FibroSpect score was 99 and I'm so friggin exhausted all the time I'm getting desperate. I took my Harvoni and 3 Riba pills yesterday morning, then my 2 Ribas last night. Maybe I was just excited about finally treating, but I could barely sleep.
He will wake up coughing so bad and I have to give him a breathing treatment asap. It just seems laying down at night makes it worse. Have you gotten a cold since this started? Colds also make asthma worse, when my son has a cold we have to do breathing treatments every 4 hours. Both my kids have asthma they are 7 and 11 years old. My husband also has it.

Don't get me wrong, I have two toy poodles that are my world and mean everything to me and since my kids married and moved out they have replaced them as the "kids" in the family, I just don't think you'll get the answers you're looking for here.
My husband had been off ribavirin/interferon for two weeks and after a couple days of reduced coughing he is now back to the chronic cough he had during treatment. he did 16 weeks of treatment and then had to stop due to weight loss, coughing etc. He showed no viral load at 8 weeks and 12 weeks. Has anyone else experienced prolonged coughing after being off the drugs? During treatment he coughed while up but the coughing would stop when he laid down.
