Still coughing my head off. I just don't know about this cough, It has just been lingering and lingering throughout the treatment. It really worries me. Gotta go to the lung Dr. this Thur. I know she is going to say stop smoking. I try and just can't right now. God Bless us all.

So i just want some advice, im 32weeks and i have had a cough for litilary 4months now, it just wont go some days its so bad i cant breatg from.having a coughing fit and i have even wet myself a few time which was so embarrasing considering im on 19, ive been to the docotor several times n they just say oh its a cough you will be fine but i know this cough isnt normal whats could it be? Im worried it may be effecting my baby.

Has anyone here had their dog go through heartworm treatment before? My husky is on day 5 from getting his HW treatment (immeticide?) We're not suppose to have him move around too much because the decomposing worms may cause an embolism. He's coughing a a hacking cough today and not eating too much. I'm wondering what to expect next.... I hear the coughing may continue for 2 weeks before he's almost in the clear.

I have been using Combivent for about a month together with Asmanex to treat my cough-variant asthma and have had pretty good results. However, the first inhalation of Combivent always triggers a major coughing spell (sometimes it's so severe I almost vomit or my ribs hurt). Are there other bronchodilators that might be easier to inhale and still be effective? Or would using a nebulizer help? I've heard there can be adverse side effects with a nebulizer.

I have been coughing for about 7 years. I have been to 3 doctors and been on meds for post nasal drip, asthma. I had my thyroid out in Oct; because it was enlarged and closing up my trachia but that didn't help. Have had xrays and cat scans and everything looks good. It seems to coming from my throat area. sometimes i cough so hard that i almost pass out. I'm really at wits end. Any suggestions?

Singular really helped my children. It comes and goes, so I just give them a one a day allergy treatment when it is bothering them. Athsma can develope at anytime, and there are different kinds. I Hope you get a better nights sleep soon. Keep us posted.

Brown, I was diagnosed with vitreous detachment, but the optometrist said it would resolve itself in time. I think what caused it was the constant, forceful coughing I did during a recent bout with bronchitis, (??). It has been 6 months, at least and I see no relief. I can't wear my contacts because the lens in the right eye (the one with the problem) only magnifies the blurring.

I finally went to a specialist in Baltimore who read my history which showed all the meds I was taking and he noticed that I was taking Zetia and told me that he believed Zetia caused chronic coughing in some people; so he looked it up on his computer and sure enough, that was one of the warnings. I had 'the cough'. I went to the hospital because I was sure it was a chest infection but I was completely cleared and had no infection and no problems on the chest x-ray. Keep up a high fluid intake. Strangely the best thing that enabled the phlegm to come up for me was laughing (not easy to do on demand). What you describe sounds like badly controlled asthma. Asthma can cause coughing like that and coughing like that can cause vomiting. Also lot of phlegm can make you nauseous and with the coughing can make you vomit. If you are still coughing (hope not) you should go back to the doctor controlling your asthma. Ideal is to have asthma well enough controlled so that you dont cough at all. Asthma can cause permanent damage to your airways if not controlled.

Got 'em bad. Recently had dosage upped to 1600 riba daily, from 1200, as apparently HGB count wasn't going down much. Now I've got coughing fits, coughing from the heels, coughing till dizzy. Yes, I had quite a bad cough. Even though it is fairly common, you should check with your doctor to be sure that you don't have some sort of infection. If you get any kind of fever, that is a red flag. I had low WBC and ANC the entire time so I had lots of bloodwork and a chest xray to be sure of no pneumonia or URI.
