concussion

Avatar f tn Also I am incredibly unbalanced and all of these symptoms worsened after my last concussion which happened to be my fifth. From this one I had a report of severe concussion with mild amnesia, which four months later has not gone away. I also exhibit no abnormalities in my eyes. Sorry I forgot to include this before.
Avatar f tn I diagnosed concussion because I had pretty much all the symptoms of one. And I didn't go to the hospital for two reasons 1) I didn't feel like trusting my driving skills after that 2) I did a typical test for "serious" head trama (watching what your eyes do, how long you can focus on things ext) so I knew it wasn't "serious" so I didn't think to go. I know thats bad but what can I say.
Avatar f tn That is why I am feeling it is not "dry eyes" like they say it is. Because my eyes were the most effected from the fall wtih the eye tremors and light sensitivity. I couldn't watch tv, or look at computer for weeks because my eyes would literally begin to tremor. The night I hit my head my eyes formed a crust. And eveyr night since. I am a speech path..I have worked with TBI's many times (now I know! for sure how to NOT treat them!
Avatar n tn Do they think your tumor is related to the concussion? Is there a connection to the symptoms? Just read that the symptoms are similar to those of a concussion. thanks.
Avatar f tn Anyone please!!
Avatar n tn Persistence of symptoms greater than 6 months after the concussion may lead to a postconcussion syndrome. I suggest you seek consult with a pediatric neurologist. The past history of head trauma may or may not cause the present headaches nevertheless, the history is significant.A complete medical history and neurologic examination may help classify the headaches. Some patients with a history of concussion benefit from neurologic rehabilitation therapy. Just continue to reassure your daughter.
Avatar m tn Since January this year, I have experienced star bursting in both of my eyes, both eyes starburst differently, haloes when looking at bright lights or even dim light and ghosting at pretty much any time of day. I am unsure what to do as I feel the symptoms MAY be progressing. It is quite annoying at night as the contrast between light and dark seem to exadurate the star bursting, haloes and ghosting I am experiencing.
Avatar m tn I suffered a concussion about 3 weeks ago. I had a CT scan that came back normal. At this point, all of my symptoms are pretty much resolved. My only issue is that my right eye has more floaters than usual and it has an abnormal "heavy" feeling compared to my left. There aren't visual changes (other than the floaters) and I'm not feeling any pain. Just a general and constant feeling of heaviness in my right eye/eye lid, which is not noticeable upon looking at my face.
Avatar f tn After head injury or impact such kind of symptoms like loss of smell or taste and other symptoms may be common due to extent of damaged part of brain and may remain symptomatic or progress in future. Although any sure success cure can not be assured in such cases, but symptomatic relief or it may decrease with period of time, physiotherapy, avoiding any triggering factors and life style modification help you in certain extent.
Avatar m tn I hit it twice in a row out of anger, and afterward I experienced neck/head ache as well as extreme tiredness. I went to the ER 4 days later after symptoms were still present and they said I had a concussion. They performed a CT scan and said everything was FINE! I was relieved to hear this. Every so often, I "tweak" the concussion in various ways, but haven't had too many symptoms other than headaches and neck/back aches.
10506901 tn?1431350757 However due to the circumstance I highly doubt what happened caused a concussion. I had a migraine while training at a martial arts gym and when the migraine symptoms lasted for 3 weeks I was diagnosed with concussion. The reason I do not think it is a concussion was because the only thing that could have caused it was me falling forward and stopping myself with my arms and it sort of jolted my body.
Avatar m tn I'm 16 years old after my football concussion my eyes have gotten farther apart now I can't even look my friends in the eyes . Do eye doctors do surgery for this or medicine . What should I do ?
Avatar f tn Today, I was volunteering for something and I had to stand up for hours with only a few breaks, and I got a small pain in my head/eyes and I slept for a few hours afterwards. Do I have a slight concussion? Should I go to the doctor?
Avatar n tn The problem is, your symptoms are right in line with post concussion syndrome, but anxiety symptoms include almost anything. I mean, look at the posts here, we get all kinds of weird physical and mental stuff. But yours started after a fall and a doctor saying you had a concussion. You need to advocate for yourself in a stronger way and eliminate any physiological explanation before attributing this to anxiety.
Avatar m tn is that normal? are those symptoms of concussion? will they go away alone with time? should i see a doctor?
Avatar n tn I havent but it may be a good idea to have her head and eyes checked out anyway ,good luck let us know how she is doing .
Avatar n tn Is this dilation a sign of fear, due to pain, or could it be something worse, like a kitty concussion? Or after reading other posts, rabies? (DOUBLE the dilation shown in the attached photo.
Avatar n tn found out 2 months later (after the feeling was starting to come back and I got black eyes) that I did indeed have a mild concussion and had to go for a CT Scan for possible nerve damage. I still do not have a lot of feeling in the spot that I got hit. He needs to go to a hospital and get checked out. They now say that the person can sleep after a concussion.
Avatar m tn Hi, It could be a concussion. Hope you don't have hematoma, CSF leak etc., Since you mentioned your eyes are dilated I suggest you go to ER immediately and get a CT scan done to make sure nothing wrong. Good luck.
Avatar m tn Is the diagnosis similar between a concussion and intoxication? If so, in what ways? i.e., with the pupils, when doctor shines light in eyes, motor skills, etc. In what ways are they different? What if you have/are both at the same time? Can they be possibly confused or synonymous?
8506420 tn?1398432580 Our kitten knocked on the door and has uneven pupils. Both eyes respond to torchlight, but the injured eye(dilated eye) does not undilate fully. There are no signs of bone injury nor any swelling could be felt. Kitten did not respond or show any pain when we felt the different portions of her head and body. There was no increase in heart rate and breathing. There is no bleeding from the nose, but there seemed to be anal discharge due to a foul smell, but no liquid is excreting.
Avatar m tn It has been 2 years since the tests I feel like maybe my eyes have helped me feel better. I still get dizzy, have vertigo, light bothers my eyes I wear sun glasses everywhere. Avatar f tn Since this is a concussion injury which is a brain injury causes by a sudden blow to the head or to the body. Symptoms of a concussion include memory loss, headaches or blurry vision, nausea, inability to stand or walk or having coordination and balance problems. There is an entity of post concussive syndrome where there is inability to think and headaches, changes in sleep patterns and personality etc. This needs to be evaluated clinically, CT/MRI scan brain needs to be done to rule out.
