Avatar f tn Did you taper off the vibryd or quit abruptly? You can't just switch from one medication to another even in the same class and avoid withdrawal -- these meds are not easy to stop taking and it must be done carefully. Unless you completely stop taking a medication before starting another it's impossible to tell if your symptoms are a sign you're suffering withdrawal and quit too quickly or are side effects of the new medication.
Avatar f tn For the past 50 days I have been experimenting with adderall I saw the side effects of withdrawal and noticed that it made me lose an unattractive amount of weight as well as me not feeling like me anymore since I’m not a drug user.
Avatar f tn Do these side effects eventually go away if you take Soboxin (sp), and then eventually no SOboxin? If a person works out and takes vitamins will this assist in getting this awful drug out of the system?
Avatar f tn When I came off of it, my doc put me on a taper as I came off of it. I did notice some side effects like naseau and increased anxiety, however I kept an open line of communication with the doc. I asked if it would be okay to go on a slower taper as I came off of it. He agreed and the slower taper seemed to help with the side effects. I am glad that you are seeing a psychiatrist to help you with your medication prescriptions and questions.
Avatar m tn The side effects of anti depressants vary from person to person. We all react differently. If what you are feeling is unbearable, perhaps you could ask your doctor to prescribe something else. But be aware, another drug could have different side effects. Over the 20+ years I have taken anti depressants, I have experienced quite a few different side effects. Effexor was the best drug I ever took. I did well on it. Whereas others have given me side effects I could not handle.
Avatar f tn Will stop taking Xanax for 1 month, then suddenly take one, and stop it cause severe withdrawal side effects?
Avatar f tn I agree with Krissi...post acute withdrawal syndrome comes after a year. Oxycodone is what I withdrew from, and at 7 weeks, I was still having symptoms. Heck, at 10 months, I still have restless legs sometimes (although the frequency is getting less and less), insomnia, and of course anxiety. I am also a coffee drinker...if I go without, I get headaches, but that is about it. Be careful about stuff on the internet.
624754 tn?1233297136 I used to drink a lot of coffee also (2-3 pots full per day), which obviously was not good. In order to get off from it without a lot of side effects, I started buying a container of regular coffee and a container of decaf; I would then mix them together - at first more regular than decaf. I gradually added more decaf until I got it to about 1/2 and 1/2. That was before you could buy it already "blended" in the stores.
2010625 tn?1329372056 After I have been awake for a while they have slowly went away I am still a tiny bit dizzy, and drowsy still after 2 cups of coffee I just feel like I am not waking up still feel half asleep. Does anyone know if these side effects are serious or if it is something that will go away as I get use to the medication. I know I should be asking my doctor these questions but it is the weekend and my doctor is not in his office until Monday.
Avatar n tn Shortly after I started the drug, I started having hot flashes and bad leg cramps. My doctor then prescribed Effexor for those side effects. I started at 37.5 mg and worked up to 75mg which I took for 5 years. A month ago he changed my prescription to 37.5 mg and said to stop once the medicine ran out. I took my last pill 3 days ago. I feel horrible. I have nausea, dizziness, a swoshing feeling when I turn my head from side to side and just feel bad overall. I have been cranky and moody.
Avatar f tn Laci, It's very possible that your 'happy mood' has nothing whatsoever to do w/ the NSAIDS and everything to do with the detox. You've punched through to the other side. Five days -- Yeah! What happens on the other side of acute withdrawals, as you're probably aware are Post acute withdrawals (PAWS) One of the most noticeable at your stage is a roller coaster of emotional ups and downs - laughing one minute, crying the next - that sort of thing.
Avatar f tn However, I have taken other SSRIs and SNRIs, and while the withdrawal effects can be really unsettling and uncomfortable, they do decrease in severity and eventually go away with time. I wonder whether the tremors are a side effect from starting Paxil, or a withdrawal symptom from weaning off the Cymbalta, or both?
Avatar n tn s what will continue to happen. Has anyone had these side effects that are ongoing when you take Prestiq? Also, how do you recommend weaning off the medication. In the past, I had taken Effexor and had to wean off by breaking open the capsule and decreasing the grains. Thanks for any suggestions.
Avatar n tn Now I am just on the wellbutrin and I am fine, no side-effects at all. Also, the effexor withdrawal symptoms did have nausea, headache, vertigo... as well as other symptoms too for me, so it sounds like it could be effexor withdrawal for you too maybe. Hope the withdrawal symptoms get better soon! I really like wellbutrin, I hope it works well for you too!
Avatar n tn I do smoke cigarettes and have coffee every day, which may also increase these side effects. I am nervous for my health, but do realize that for the most part I never get these tics or nervousness in my heart. My heart rate usually does not increase and I do not have shortness of breath.
535822 tn?1443976780 Hi Guys, does stevia have any side effects , I told my DD to try stevia instead of splenda as it has such a bad rap , and she tells me she has some symptoms like tiredness /achy legs..I looked in the search engine and didn't find much .thanks a lot .
Business woman1 I was removed off of saphris last october, and was put on wellbutrin 150mg and had a TERRIBLE reaction to it. now think I am experiencing side effects that (in my opinion) appear to look like adrenal problems (fatigue, unneccesary anxiety, muscle spasms/twitching, problems walkng, craving sugars etc.
Avatar f tn Should I cut back before the baby us born? Is the baby going to have caffine withdrawal if I dont? Does anyone know any other side effects of drinking coffee?
10361664 tn?1409609407 This is my opinion, but this isn't a good idea. Paxil is very hard to quit taking and needs to be tapered off of slowly, but it's best to do this before starting a new medication. Zoloft cannot substitute for Paxil, as they're very different in the receptors they target and Paxil is one unique drug.
