They say its just not healthy and the baby will have withdrawal symptoms once they r born cause of the lack of caffeine its used to getting when in you. I drink at least one coffee a day and sometimes even a Venti from starbucks.
Avatar f tn headache, foggy, depression, irritability, fatigue, decreased alertness If you are trying to quit coffee, these symptoms can last for a full week. You also mentioned that you are adding whipped cream and syrup to your coffees. These can most certainly be additive. Please see my website: for more info on other food addictions.
267206 tn?1189759435 The only way to see if pain is real or caused by the withdrawal symptoms is to go without for months, I think. My back and neck pain that was called fibromyalgia has definately gotten better without drugs, still there but I am so happy not to be addicted that I'll take the pain.
Avatar n tn It assumes that you can get about 5 to 7 days away from your job or household responsibilities during which you can sleep, veg and act as miserable as you feel. Opiate WD mimics the symptoms of the common flu, so, if you need a smokescreen, hide behind a bad case of the flu. If you can't take time off to detox, I recommend you follow a taper regimen using your drug of choice or suitable alternate -- the slower the taper, the better.
Avatar f tn lethargy, drunken feeling, and nausea are common symptoms which I experienced. So I cut back to one pill a day. Take it easy and good luck!
Avatar n tn i would like for someone to give me some common withdrawal symptoms of someone who has been drinking a half of gallon of liguor for the past week everyday but has stopped for the past three days
Avatar n tn the day before that, i also felt those symptoms again after having my coffee. i usually dont drink coffee but because a friend had me try this good tasting coffee i got it and in return it gave me those not-so-nice effects..
Avatar n tn between 16-22 i was a habitual pot smoker and stopped when i had a severe panic attack induced by friends having a huge argument... i had very similar symptoms to my coffee episode. Im totally awar that panic attacks are harmless. I have researched a lot..bless the internet.. Thanks.
Avatar n tn Opiate withdrawal symptoms usually start 12-24 hours after your last dose. But, the timing of withdrawal symptoms depends upon the drug taken, length of time you’ve been taking it, and how you react to medications. The physical withdrawals usually last 3-7 days, with days 3 and 4 being the worst. Once again, this is all dependent on the person. You can expect these symptoms.
Avatar n tn never mentioned that Effexor is associated with withdrawal symptoms. The effects of the Wellbutrin seemed to kick in almost immediately. My libido jumped way up, and just like that I quit smoking cold turkey. I couldn't stand the smell or taste of cigarettes all of the sudden. Now without the smoking, I also found that my morning coffee was nearly forgotten. (I'm sure that withdrawal from nicotine and caffeine added to my symptoms.
Avatar n tn I am begining to feel that maybe the best thing to do is just end my life,i have a small child and she would forget me ,now shes begining to see the real me.I look at all u wonderful people who r willing to share your story so to help someone else feel and get well, but i am in much deeper then anyone ive seen sharing. Avatar m tn So,sit down a minute and take mental, verbal, written, audio, whatever notes you want. Make notes of all withdrawal symptoms mentioned by all these confessions, study them, give them all an identity, a face, give them a name. Know that they will come knokin on your door. This way you will not feel alone. We are all going threw it(gone threw it). You are taking something away from your body that it WANTS.It's normal to feel that.
624754 tn?1233300736 Other studies show that the cognitive improvements and mood elevation may not really be due to the beneficial aspects of caffeine as much as ending the withdrawal symptoms we feel when we haven't had our morning "fix" yet. Kicking the caffeine habit isn't so good either. Caffeine withdrawal can give you headaches, make you crabby, give you muscle aches and generally you may feel miserable for a few days. However, after a week or so, the withdrawal symptoms will pass.
1936550 tn?1348363808 My baby does not seem to be affected. I kind of joke that I can't stop the coffee else baby will have withdrawal symptoms as well as me.
Avatar f tn It's been about 3 hours since I took my first 10 mg pill of the day, and I've had about 3 cups of regular coffee at breakfast. Could the coffee be counteracting the calming effects of the buspar, do you think? Could the levels of the drug be too high? any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Like I said, I felt great last week, but today i suddenly feel anxious again and I don't know why.
304970 tn?1331429594 It is also a diuretic(fluid loser) Abrupt withdrawal of caffeine may cause headaches, drowsiness, irritability, nausea, vomiting, and other symptoms. Reduce caffeine intake gradually to prevent any symptoms of withdrawal. And... Is beneficial in that it...

Avatar n tn I'm having withdrawal symptoms I didn't expect. Light headedness, the runs, blood pressure going up, and general fatigue. Lots of fatigue. And some irritability. I am hoping that these symptoms begin to decrease soon. Well, they have gotten better than it was in the first 2 days. I am still wondering how long I can expect to have these side effects of withdrawal?
Avatar f tn Try to relax and drink relaxing teas before going to bed....Don't drink coffee or tea or even sodas. Depression not only makes your stomach feel uncomfortable but your whole body gets weak.
Avatar n tn Ephedra is a stimulant mostly found in thermogenic supplements and used primarily by athletes. I also used it for a couple of months -- a mild dose -- before I discontinued. It made me a little jittery, even during workouts. Lethargy may be an issue, but it will be short-lived. After a week, you'll be back to normal. Physical pain is a non-issue altogether. It's actually good that you're getting off of it because it can adversely affect the heart.
Avatar f tn I am down to 100mg twice a day, am using clonidine to help with the withdrawal symptoms and even feel i am allowing myself to become hooked on it, my B/P elevates when I try to cut back on it and I know this is dangerous too. I was attending several 12 step groups a week and changed jobs to graveyards and have let them slide....any heads up would be appreciated, I am awake, can't sleep, and doing a fair job of kicking my butt. Apprecate your forum.
Avatar m tn So I had no clue that this was addictive and there would be withdrawal symptoms. I only took 1 200mg timed release per day (at night so I could sleep) for severe osteoarthritis pain. Being a dentist, the pain was so bad I needed this to sleep and be functional the next day. The arthritis pain forced me to retire recently. Now that I'm retired, I decided to A) lose some weight (chronic pain really puts the pounds on you), and B) give my body a break from the Tramadol.

Avatar n tn I'm more worried about the depression than the physical symptoms...and that feeling like there's sandpaper on the inside. I go cold turkey tomorrow. Tomorrow will be hard but easy, its the days following I'm worried about. Any suggestions? I was thinking of taking Benadryl to assist with calming down. Also, I'm on Cymbalta - an antidepressant - which has proven to assist with the depression I really do have...I'm hoping it makes this withdrawal go a little easier.

Avatar n tn I've been taking 1-2 vicodins a day for the last few months (on and off) for a back problem and I'm planning to stop today. I'm afraid of the withdrawal symptoms I'm going to encounter. I've done this before and don't rememeber the w/d being too bad (irritability, slight achiness) but was okay in a few tays. Does anyone have any advice? Are 1-2 vicodins enough to cause major withdrawal? I'm afraid and really don't want to do this anymore and want to start the year off right.
Avatar f tn I've gone through withdrawal from stopping other medications (Vicodin for chronic pain) and know how horrible it can be. I know that Wellbutrin increases the chance for seizes and I don't want to risk one by stopping the Zoloft cold turkey. I have to take anywhere from 5-8 Tylenol PM to fall asleep now and I drink 1-4 cups of coffee and 1-2 Red Bulls a day to make it through an 8 hour workday.
